Contracts & Monsters
Ten trophies: every witcher contract, the five named monsters (shrieker, Sarasti, the Woodland Spirit, Morvudd, Therazane), the Novigrad doppler, monster nests and the no-tools challenge. The full contract list is below, in rough level order.

Complete the base-game witcher contracts (the quests titled ‘Contract:’, plus In the Heart of the Woods). There are about 30 across White Orchard, Velen/Novigrad and Skellige, picked up from notice boards and townsfolk. A patch removed the requirement for Devil by the Well, but the safe play is to finish every contract you can.
Tip
Contracts don't auto-fail over time, but Devil by the Well becomes unavailable once you start On Thin Ice. Levels range from 2 to 35. Full contract list with locations and levels.

Velen, Contract: Shrieker from the notice board at Crow's Perch (level 8). Follow the trail to the shrieker's roost. It's a flyer, so knock it down with Aard or the crossbow, then finish it on the ground.
Tip
Draconid Oil and Grapeshot help. It's a low-level contract, so it doubles as an easy early fight for Even Odds if you out-level it.

Velen, Contract: The Mystery of the Byways Murders (Byways, level 22). The trail leads to Sarasti, a katakan. Use Vampire Oil and Black Blood, and a Moon Dust bomb to stop it turning invisible.
Tip
Katakans hit very hard on Death March. Keep Quen up and don't trade blows.

Skellige, In the Heart of the Woods (Fayrlund, level 22). The hunters want you to kill the leshen-like Woodland Spirit that their elders worship. When the choice comes, side with the hunter Sven and go through with the kill; don't take Harald's side. Kill the spirit for the trophy.
Tip
Save before the choice. Relict Oil, Igni and Dancing Star work well against it.

Skellige, Contract: Missing Son from Rannvaig on Ard Skellig (level 29). The trail leads to Morvudd, a fiend. Its hypnotic stare stuns you, so keep moving and use Relict Oil, Quen and the crossbow when it charges.
Tip
One of the highest-level contracts. Leave it until you're level 29+.

Novigrad, Contract: Doors Slamming Shut (the Moldavie residence, level 24). A haunted mansion leads to Therazane, a wraith. Use Yrden to pin it and Specter Oil.
Tip
Swap to Yrden before you enter. The wraith turns immaterial when it's outside the circle.

Novigrad, Contract: An Elusive Thief (Hierarch Square, level 13). The ‘thief’ is a doppler. Track it with your witcher senses and see the chase through to the end. The trophy pops when the contract resolves.
Tip
Save before the chase. If the doppler gets away, the contract fails and the trophy is gone.

Beat two contract monsters using only your swords and crossbow: no Signs, potions, oils, bombs or equipped mutagens. It doesn't have to be in the same session.
Tip
Do it on low-level contracts that you out-level by 10+: Woodland Beast (level 6), Patrol Gone Missing (7), Shrieker (8) or The Merry Widow (10). Unequip your mutagens and clean the oil off your sword first. Avoid wraith contracts: you'd need Yrden to hit them.

Destroy every monster nest (the red skull map markers marked as nests) on one map: Velen/Novigrad or Skellige. Kill the monsters around it, then throw a Grapeshot, Dancing Star, Samum or Dragon's Dream bomb into the hole.
Tip
Skellige is the shorter job: it has only a handful of nests, mostly on Ard Skellig. Use the in-game map filter for nests and clear the lot in one sweep.

Tip
Grapeshot is the first bomb most people craft and it's perfect for nests.
