The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
The complete platinum guide for the base game: all 53 trophies explained in depth, all six points of no return, every missable choice, card, fight and race, and a fully chronological walkthrough from White Orchard to the final battle.
Remastered
What the Remaster means for trophy hunters
CD PROJEKT RED's Remastered update landed on September 29, 2026 as a free update for anyone who owns the game. For trophy hunters, the important part is that it's the same PS5 trophy list: your saves and any trophies you've already earned carry over, and nothing about the requirements changes. It also reworks the skill tree, combat and movement, and bundles Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.
This guide covers the 53 base-game trophies, which are all you need for the platinum. The expansion trophies are separate and optional. Where the reworked skill tree could affect advice (Dendrologist, Mutant), we keep it general.
Platinum Roadmap
The road to The Limits of the Possible
A long but fair 5/10: one playthrough on Death March! (100–150 hours) covers everything. The difficulty only really bites for the first 10 hours. The real challenge is timing: 14 trophies are missable, and most of them lock at the same moment, when you sail to The Isle of Mists.
1Prologue: White Orchard. Start on Death March!. Before you finish the prologue, grab all five Places of Power in one ride (Power Overwhelming), read everything (Bookworm), and win every card you can.
2Act I: Velen, Novigrad, Skellige. Play the regions in level order. On the way: Keira's chain, the Roche/Triss/Dijkstra quests up to A Deadly Plot, the masquerade and Passiflora gwent, A Dangerous Game, Kingmaker, all fistfights and races, and contracts as your level allows.
3Act II: Brothers in Arms. After Ugly Baby, recruit all seven allies (Full Crew) and do the big pre-Isle of Mists sweep. Then sail.
4Act III. Join the plot in Blindingly Obvious (first option every time) and finish Reason of State (Assassin of Kings). Finish Kingmaker before Battle Preparations. Then beat Eredin.
5Post-game cleanup. Free roam continues after the credits, and with the difficulty trophies earned you can lower the difficulty: remaining contracts, nests, counters, gwent cards, and level 35 (Munchkin).
The six points of no return. 1)
Imperial Audience ends White Orchard. 2)
Ugly Baby fails Yennefer's side quests. 3)
The Isle of Mists fails Keira, Triss, Roche, the masquerade, the Brothers in Arms recruiting and more. 4) Finishing
King's Gambit. 5)
Battle Preparations fails Kingmaker. 6)
On Thin Ice fails Reason of State. Full breakdown below and in our
chronological walkthrough.

All 53 trophies โ explained in depth

The Limits of the Possible
Details
Platinum โ Collect all trophies. Pops when the other 52 base-game trophies are done. The Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine trophies are
not needed. Plan for
100–150 hours in
one playthrough on Death March!, with a lot of missable content: the Skellige throne, the Radovid plot, Keira, the full Kaer Morhen crew and a handful of one-shot gwent cards.
Tip: The whole game hinges on
six points of no return. Follow our
chronological walkthrough and keep a rolling set of manual saves.
Story & Difficulty 10 trophies
The main story in order, plus the three difficulty trophies. Everything stacks on one Death March run. Full Story & Difficulty guide →

Lilac and Gooseberries
Details
Bronze โ Find Yennefer of Vengerberg. Story, White Orchard. Pops when Geralt finally catches up with Yennefer at the end of the prologue quest Lilac and Gooseberries, after the griffin hunt. Tip: Finishing White Orchard's story leads straight into Imperial Audience, the first point of no return. Do White Orchard's side quests, the Places of Power and the gwent card first.

A Friend in Need
Details
Bronze โ Find and free Dandelion. Story, Novigrad. The Novigrad arc is about tracking Dandelion down through the city's underworld. The trophy pops when you finally break him out. Tip: Novigrad is where most of the missable story content starts: Triss, Roche, Dijkstra and the gwent tournament. Read the Novigrad section of the walkthrough before you rush the main quest.

Necromancer
Details
Bronze โ Help Yennefer extract information from Skjall's body. Story, Skellige. Pops during Yennefer's necromancy ritual on Skjall's body in the Skellige main questline. You can't miss it. Tip: Skellige is also where the Kingmaker chain runs. Start Possession and The Lord of Undvik while you're there.

Family Counselor
Details
Bronze โ Find the baron's wife and daughter. Story, Velen. The Bloody Baron arc: track down his daughter Tamara (in Oxenfurt) and his wife Anna (in Crookback Bog). It pops as the arc resolves. Tip: Whatever you decide about the spirit under the Whispering Hillock, the trophy still pops. Finish the Baron's follow-up in Crookback Bog before The Isle of Mists, or it fails.

Something More
Details
Bronze โ Find Ciri. Story,
Act II. Pops on
The Isle of Mists when Geralt finds Ciri.
Tip: This is the
biggest point of no return in the game. Before you sail to the Isle of Mists, finish Keira's chain, Triss's quests, the Roche and Dijkstra quests up to
A Deadly Plot, the masquerade,
A Dangerous Game and the fencing and Cabaret quests. See
Missables & Choices.

Xenonaut
Details
Bronze โ Visit Tir nรก Lia and convince Ge'els to betray Eredin. Story, Act III. Avallac'h's portal trip into the world of the Aen Elle takes you to Tir nรก Lia. The trophy pops when the talks with Ge'els end with him agreeing to turn on Eredin. Tip: Unmissable. Just follow the main quest.

The King is Dead
Details
Silver โ Defeat Eredin. Story, finale. Beat Eredin, King of the Wild Hunt, in the last main quests. His frost attacks and summons are telegraphed: keep Quen up, dodge rather than roll, and punish him after each combo. Tip: On Death March, bring your best potions (Swallow, Thunderbolt), your best oil and a stack of food. Save before the fight.

Passed the Trial
Details
Bronze โ Finish the game on any difficulty. Finish the base-game main story. It stacks with the two difficulty trophies below. Tip: The game drops you back into free roam after the ending, so you can clean up afterwards.

Ran the Gauntlet
Details
Silver โ Finish the game on the "Blood and Broken Bones!" or "Death March!" difficulty levels. Finish the game on Blood and Broken Bones! or Death March!. It stacks with Walked the Path, so a Death March run gets you both.

Walked the Path
Details
Gold โ Finish the game on the "Death March!" difficulty level. Finish the game on Death March!, the hardest setting. Start on it from the very first menu. The first ~10 hours are the hardest (low level, few potions). Once you have Quen, Swallow, oils and decent gear, it settles down. Tip: Stay on Death March until the credits roll, never lowering it mid-run. Once the difficulty trophies pop, you're free to lower it for the post-game cleanup, which is how we did it. Death March tips: always apply the right oil, keep Quen up, dodge (don't roll) against monsters, and upgrade Swallow early.
Missables & Choices 4 trophies
The four big missable storylines. They all hinge on the points of no return above. Full Missables & Choices guide →

Kingmaker
Details
Bronze โ Complete the subplot about choosing Skellige's ruler. Skellige. After the main quest The King is Dead – Long Live the King, complete this chain: Possession (help Cerys at Udalryk's hall) → The Lord of Undvik (with Hjalmar, kill the ice giant) → King's Gambit (the feast at Kaer Trolde) → Coronation. In King's Gambit, back Cerys or Hjalmar; the outcome of the feast decides who's crowned, and the trophy pops at the coronation. Tip: Complete it before Act III's Battle Preparations, which fails the whole chain. Finishing King's Gambit also fails Stranger in a Strange Land and The Cave of Dreams, so do those first. Backing Cerys or Hjalmar (not the walk-away option) is also what keeps Hjalmar available for Full Crew. Missable.

Assassin of Kings
Details
Bronze โ Take part in the assassination of King Radovid. The Novigrad political chain, in this order: Redania's Most Wanted (Roche) → An Eye for an Eye → A Matter of Life and Death (the masquerade with Triss) → Now or Never (the mages at the docks) → A Deadly Plot (Dijkstra). All of these must be done before The Isle of Mists. In Act III, Blindingly Obvious: pick the first dialogue option every time you talk with Dijkstra and Philippa and agree to join the plot. Then Reason of State: help Roche carry out the ambush, and the trophy pops when Radovid falls. Tip: Reason of State fails when you start On Thin Ice, so do it as soon as it appears. What you do with Dijkstra afterwards doesn't affect the trophy. Missable.

Friends With Benefits
Details
Bronze โ Complete the subplot involving Keira Metz. Velen. You meet Keira on Ciri's trail in Velen. Then do her chain: An Invitation from Keira Metz (dinner at her hut) → A Towerful of Mice (Fyke Isle) → A Favor for a Friend (the elven ruins and the lab) → For the Advancement of Learning. At the end, when Keira wants to take Alvin's notes to Radovid, talk her out of it and send her to Kaer Morhen. Don't kill her. Tip: The whole chain fails at The Isle of Mists. Sending Keira to Kaer Morhen is also one of the seven allies for Full Crew. The side quest Magic Lamp (the lamp for the lab) is part of her story too. Missable.

Full Crew
Details
Bronze โ Bring all possible allies to Kaer Morhen for the battle against the Hunt. Recruit seven allies before The Isle of Mists. Keira: finish her chain and send her to Kaer Morhen. Triss: in Now or Never, at the harbor, ask her to stay (the romance route is the safest). Roche + Ves: complete An Eye for an Eye, then recruit them in Brothers in Arms: Novigrad. Zoltan: also in Brothers in Arms: Novigrad. Hjalmar: finish The Lord of Undvik and don't pick the walk-away option in King's Gambit. Ermion: in Brothers in Arms: Skellige. The trophy pops during the battle of Kaer Morhen. Tip: Emhyr's soldiers, Letho, Dijkstra, Folan, Vigi and Crach are not needed. Brothers in Arms opens after Ugly Baby and closes when you sail to the Isle of Mists, so recruit everyone in that window. Missable.
Gwent 4 trophies
Four gwent trophies. Card Collector is the most missable trophy in the game. Full Gwent guide →

Card Collector
Details
Bronze โ Acquire all gwent cards available in the base version of the game. Collect every
base-game card: Northern Realms, Nilfgaard, Scoia'tael, Monsters, the neutral and special cards, and every leader. The Skellige deck and the expansion cards are
not needed. Most cards come from buying from innkeepers and merchants and beating named players. A handful are
one-shot: the masquerade cards, the four tournament cards at the Passiflora, and the cards from
A Dangerous Game.
Tip: Play every innkeeper and named player as soon as you meet them, and keep a save before each missable game. See the full
missable card list.
Missable.

Gwent Master
Details
Bronze โ Defeat Tybalt and win the gwent tournament held at the Passiflora. Novigrad, quest High Stakes. The tournament at the Passiflora costs 1,000 crowns to enter. Four rounds, each with a card you can't get anywhere else: Bernard Tulle (Foltest leader), Sasha (Emhyr leader), Finneas (Francesca leader) and finally Count Tybalt (Eredin leader). Win the final and the trophy pops. Tip: Save between every match. Lose one and the card is gone. Build your deck first: a Northern Realms or Nilfgaard deck with spies, Decoys, Commander's Horn and a couple of hero cards carries the whole tournament. Finish it before The Isle of Mists. Missable.

Geralt and Friends
Details
Bronze โ Win a round of gwent using only neutral cards. Win one round using only neutral cards (Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer, Triss, Vesemir, Zoltan, Dandelion, Avallac'h, Villentretenmerth) plus specials such as weather and Decoy. Easiest method: lose or pass round 1 cheaply, then play only your neutral heroes in round 2 against a weak opponent. Tip: Try it against a weak innkeeper once you own Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer: three heroes worth 15, 15 and 7 usually win a round on their own. Missable.

All In
Details
Bronze โ Play three hero cards in one round of gwent and win the match. Play three hero cards (gold border) in the same round and go on to win the match. Tip: Neutral heroes (Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer) plus a faction hero make it easy. You can get this at the same time as Geralt and Friends.
Contracts & Monsters 10 trophies
Witcher contracts, the five named monsters, nests and the no-tools challenge. Full Contracts & Monsters guide →

Geralt: The Professional
Details
Bronze โ Complete all witcher contracts. Complete the base-game
witcher contracts (the quests titled ‘Contract:’, plus
In the Heart of the Woods). There are about 30 across White Orchard, Velen/Novigrad and Skellige, picked up from notice boards and townsfolk. A patch removed the requirement for
Devil by the Well, but the safe play is to finish every contract you can.
Tip: Contracts don't auto-fail over time, but
Devil by the Well becomes unavailable once you start
On Thin Ice. Levels range from 2 to 35. Full
contract list with locations and levels.
Missable.

Shrieker
Details
Bronze โ Complete the contract on the shrieker. Velen, Contract: Shrieker from the notice board at Crow's Perch (level 8). Follow the trail to the shrieker's roost. It's a flyer, so knock it down with Aard or the crossbow, then finish it on the ground. Tip: Draconid Oil and Grapeshot help. It's a low-level contract, so it doubles as an easy early fight for Even Odds if you out-level it.

Fearless Vampire Slayer
Details
Bronze โ Complete the contract on Sarasti. Velen, Contract: The Mystery of the Byways Murders (Byways, level 22). The trail leads to Sarasti, a katakan. Use Vampire Oil and Black Blood, and a Moon Dust bomb to stop it turning invisible. Tip: Katakans hit very hard on Death March. Keep Quen up and don't trade blows.

Woodland Spirit
Details
Bronze โ Complete the contract on the Woodland Spirit. Skellige, In the Heart of the Woods (Fayrlund, level 22). The hunters want you to kill the leshen-like Woodland Spirit that their elders worship. When the choice comes, side with the hunter Sven and go through with the kill; don't take Harald's side. Kill the spirit for the trophy. Tip: Save before the choice. Relict Oil, Igni and Dancing Star work well against it. Missable.

Fiend or Foe?
Details
Bronze โ Complete the contract on Morvudd. Skellige, Contract: Missing Son from Rannvaig on Ard Skellig (level 29). The trail leads to Morvudd, a fiend. Its hypnotic stare stuns you, so keep moving and use Relict Oil, Quen and the crossbow when it charges. Tip: One of the highest-level contracts. Leave it until you're level 29+.

Ashes to Ashes
Details
Bronze โ Complete the contract on Therazane. Novigrad, Contract: Doors Slamming Shut (the Moldavie residence, level 24). A haunted mansion leads to Therazane, a wraith. Use Yrden to pin it and Specter Oil. Tip: Swap to Yrden before you enter. The wraith turns immaterial when it's outside the circle.

The Doppler Effect
Details
Bronze โ Resolve the doppler problem in Novigrad. Novigrad, Contract: An Elusive Thief (Hierarch Square, level 13). The ‘thief’ is a doppler. Track it with your witcher senses and see the chase through to the end. The trophy pops when the contract resolves. Tip: Save before the chase. If the doppler gets away, the contract fails and the trophy is gone. Missable.

Even Odds
Details
Silver โ Kill 2 monsters you have a contract on without using Signs, potions, mutagens, oils or bombs. Beat two contract monsters using only your swords and crossbow: no Signs, potions, oils, bombs or equipped mutagens. It doesn't have to be in the same session. Tip: Do it on low-level contracts that you out-level by 10+: Woodland Beast (level 6), Patrol Gone Missing (7), Shrieker (8) or The Merry Widow (10). Unequip your mutagens and clean the oil off your sword first. Avoid wraith contracts: you'd need Yrden to hit them. Missable.

Pest Control
Details
Silver โ Destroy all monster nests in the Velen / Novigrad region, or in Skellige. Destroy every monster nest (the red skull map markers marked as nests) on one map: Velen/Novigrad or Skellige. Kill the monsters around it, then throw a Grapeshot, Dancing Star, Samum or Dragon's Dream bomb into the hole. Tip: Skellige is the shorter job: it has only a handful of nests, mostly on Ard Skellig. Use the in-game map filter for nests and clear the lot in one sweep.

Fire in the Hole
Details
Bronze โ Destroy 10 monster nests using bombs. Destroy 10 nests with bombs. Every nest you clear for Pest Control counts. Tip: Grapeshot is the first bomb most people craft and it's perfect for nests.
Combat Feats 11 trophies
Combat feats that come from playing well, or farm fast in the right spot. Full Combat Feats guide →

The Enemy of My Enemy
Details
Bronze โ Use the Axii Sign to force one opponent to kill another. Do this 20 times. Cast Axii on a human so they fight for you, and let them land the killing blow on another enemy. Do it 20 times. The Axii skill that makes charmed targets fight for you (Delusion/Puppet line) makes it much easier. Tip: Bandit camps are ideal: charm the toughest bandit and let him finish off the weaker ones, which you've softened up without killing.

Humpty Dumpty
Details
Bronze โ Kill 10 opponents by knocking them off somewhere high with the Aard Sign. Blast 10 enemies off a height with Aard so the fall kills them. Cliffs, bridges, towers and ships all work. Tip: The Devil's Pit bandit ledge in Velen is a good spot. In Skellige, the bandits on cliffs and ship decks are easy targets too.

Environmentally Unfriendly
Details
Bronze โ Kill 50 opponents using the environment (e.g. swamp gas, insects or objects). Get 50 kills from the environment: ignite swamp gas or other explosive gas with Igni, knock hornet nests or beehives onto enemies with Aard or the crossbow, or use explosive barrels. Tip: The Crookback Bog and the swamps of Velen are full of gas pockets. Drowners and foglets there die to one Igni in the right spot.

Kaer Morhen Trained
Details
Bronze โ Perform 10 effective counterattacks in a row without getting hit or parrying. Land 10 counterattacks in a row without taking a hit or doing a plain parry in between. A counter is a block pressed at the moment an enemy attacks. Tip: Humans with swords are the most predictable. Pick a lone, low-level bandit, stay locked on, and counter every swing. Wolves are also fine.

Can't Touch This!
Details
Bronze โ Kill 5 foes in a fight without taking damage (except for Toxicity) and without using the Quen Sign. Kill 5 enemies in one fight without taking damage and without Quen. Tip: Easiest with a pack of weak wolves or drowners you heavily out-level. Hanged Man's Tree in Velen has low-level wolves nearby.

That Is the Evilest Thingโฆ
Details
Bronze โ Ignite the gas produced by a Dragon's Dream bomb using a burning opponent. Do this 10 times. Set an enemy on fire (Igni), then throw a Dragon's Dream bomb next to them. The burning enemy ignites the gas cloud. Do it 10 times. Tip: Find or buy the Dragon's Dream formula first. Groups of drowners are perfect: burn one, drop the bomb, repeat. Reload and repeat the same fight to finish it quickly.

Butcher of Blaviken
Details
Silver โ Kill at least 5 opponents in under 10 seconds. Kill 5 enemies within 10 seconds. Tip: Use a pack of low-level wolves or drowners you vastly out-level. Let them surround you, then use whirl, fast attacks or a Dancing Star to kill them in one burst.

Triple Threat
Details
Bronze โ Kill 3 opponents in one fight using 3 different methods (swords, bombs, crossbow, Signs, etc.). In one fight, get one kill each with three different methods: for example a sword kill, a crossbow kill and an Igni kill. Tip: Weak wolves are ideal. Crossbow the first one, burn the second, and cut down the third.

Overkill
Details
Silver โ Make an opponent suffer from bleeding, poisoning and burning simultaneously. Do this 10 times. Get bleeding, poisoning and burning on one enemy at the same time, 10 times. Tip: A Devil's Puffball (poison) plus a Dancing Star or Igni (burn), and bleed from a weapon or bolts with a bleed effect. Throw the poison first, then open with bleed and finish with fire. A group of bandits at the Devil's Pit lets you tick several off in one go.

Master Marksman
Details
Bronze โ Kill 50 human and nonhuman opponents by striking them in the head with a crossbow bolt. Get 50 crossbow headshot kills on humans and nonhumans (elves, dwarves). Monsters don't count. Tip: Knock bandits down with Aard, then shoot them in the head while they're on the floor. Upgraded bolts (Broadhead, Split) help on Death March. It adds up over the whole game.

What Was That?
Details
Bronze โ Attack, counter, cast a Sign and throw a bomb (in any order) in under 4 seconds. Within 4 seconds: a sword attack, a counter, a Sign and a bomb, in any order. Tip: Easiest against a single slow human. Wait for his swing, counter, then immediately cast a quick Sign, throw a bomb and slash.
Exploration & Character 13 trophies
Fistfights, horse races, Places of Power, gear, alchemy, exploration and levelling. Full Exploration & Character guide →

Dendrologist
Details
Bronze โ Acquire all the Abilities in one tree. Unlock every ability in one skill tree (Combat, Signs, Alchemy or General). Skill points come from levelling up and from the Places of Power (a point the first time you use each one). Tip: The Remastered update reworked the skill tree, so check which tree is shortest in your version. Whichever you pick, grab every Place of Power you pass. They're the main source of extra points.

Mutant
Details
Bronze โ Fill all mutagen slots. Equip a mutagen in every mutagen slot. Slots unlock as your character level rises; the last one opens late in the game. Tip: Mutagens drop from contract monsters and can be crafted by an alchemist. Keep spares of each colour so you can fill the last slot the moment it unlocks.

Brawler
Details
Silver โ Defeat Olaf, the Skellige champion of unarmed combat. Skellige, Fists of Fury: Skellige (the ‘Fist Fights’ note on the Kaer Trolde notice board). Beat Valgard (Kaer Trolde harbor), Grim (Arinbjorn) and Einar (Harviken, Faroe), which unlocks Olaf in the arena north-east of Urialla Harbor on An Skellige. Beat him for the trophy. Tip: Fistfights are pure counters: block, counter, strike. Drink Swallow before you start (it's allowed) and wait for his heavy swing. See Brawl Master for the full list.

Globetrotter
Details
Bronze โ Discover 100 fast travel points. Discover 100 signposts across White Orchard, Velen, Novigrad, Skellige and Kaer Morhen. The base game has well over 100. Tip: Touch every signpost you pass. The in-game map shows undiscovered ones as question marks once you're close.

Let's Cook!
Details
Bronze โ Learn 12 potion formulae. Learn 12 potion formulae (not oils, decoctions or bombs). Buy them from herbalists or find them in loot. Tip: The herbalists at Crow's Perch, Oxenfurt and Novigrad sell plenty of formulae. Buy early so your Death March run has Swallow, Thunderbolt and White Raffard's Decoction.

Bombardier
Details
Bronze โ Collect the formulae for 6 different bomb types. Learn 6 bomb formulae: Grapeshot, Dancing Star, Devil's Puffball, Dragon's Dream, Samum, Northern Wind, Moon Dust, Dimeritium Bomb. Tip: The herbalist in south-east Novigrad sells several at once. You need Dragon's Dream and Devil's Puffball for two combat trophies anyway.

Bookworm
Details
Bronze โ Read 30 books, journals or other documents. Read (open from the inventory) 30 books, letters or notes. Tip: Just read everything you pick up. You'll pass 30 in White Orchard and early Velen.

Armed and Dangerous
Details
Silver โ Find and equip all the elements of one set of witcher gear. Equip a complete witcher school set: chest, gloves, trousers, boots, steel sword and silver sword of the same school. The Griffin set is the easiest: its basic diagrams are in Dragonslayer's Grotto, west of Reardon Manor and Downwarren in Velen (quest Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear). The armorer in Midcopse sells the treasure maps. Tip: Any tier (basic, enhanced, superior, mastercrafted) counts, as long as all six pieces match. Crafting needs enough crowns and a smith of the right skill.

Power Overwhelming
Details
Bronze โ Have all possible Place of Power bonuses active at the same time. Activate one Place of Power for each Sign (Aard, Axii, Igni, Quen, Yrden) so all five buffs are running at once. Each buff lasts 30 minutes. White Orchard has all five within a few minutes' ride. Tip: Route: Aard (woods north of the cemetery) → Igni (White Orchard cemetery) → Axii (across the bridge west of the mill, north-east of the sawmill) → Quen (hill south of the Broken Bridge signpost) → Yrden (east of the Abandoned Village). You can come back to White Orchard later if you miss it.

Brawl Master
Details
Bronze โ Complete all fistfighting quests in Velen, Skellige and Novigrad. Finish the Fists of Fury quests in all three regions, 14 fights in all. Velen (note in Crow's Perch's inner keep, once the Bloody Baron story lets you in): Blackbough, Lindenvale, Inn at the Crossroads, then the Sergeant at Crow's Perch. Novigrad: Southern Gate, Portside Gate, Glory Gate, Hierarch Square. Skellige (note on the Kaer Trolde board): Kaer Trolde harbor, Arinbjorn, Harviken, Olaf at Urialla Harbor, then Master of the Arena and Champion of Champions in Hov on Spikeroog. Talk to the bookie before each fight. Tip: The Hov arena is haunted by Ulle the Unlucky (Master of the Arena). Lose to him on purpose: that lifts his curse, while beating him only brings him back. Then Champion of Champions opens. Treat all fistfights as missable and finish them before The Isle of Mists. Missable.

Fast and Furious
Details
Bronze โ Win all the horse races in the game. Win all 11 races. Velen (3): Crow's Perch, from the board notice, against three riders in turn on the same track. Novigrad (4): three at the Vegelbud residence, then a final race that starts in Hierarch Square (you get a note after the Vegelbud wins). Skellige (4): Rannvaig, Fayrlund, Blandare/the Palisade and Larvik. Tip: Upgrade Roach's saddle (stamina) first. Keep to the racing line and gallop only in bursts when stamina allows. Some races only open after you win others, so do them in the order above, and finish them before the end of Act II. Missable.

Munchkin
Details
Gold โ Reach character development level 35. Reach level 35. Main story plus most side quests and contracts gets you into the low-to-mid 30s; the rest comes from post-game cleanup. Tip: If you're short after the ending, the free Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine content gives huge XP. Its trophies aren't needed for the platinum, but the XP counts.

Fist of the South Star
Details
Bronze โ Defeat an opponent in a fistfight without taking any damage. Win a fistfight without being hit once. The first Velen fight at the Inn at the Crossroads is the easiest. Tip: Only counter: block when he swings, counter, repeat. If you take a hit, reload and try again. Missable.
FAQ
Witcher 3 platinum โ quick answers
How long does The Witcher 3 platinum take?
About 100–150 hours in one playthrough. The main story is 50–60 hours; contracts, gwent, fistfights, races and cleanup make up the rest.
Is The Witcher 3 platinum hard?
About 5/10. Death March! is required for Walked the Path and is tough for the first 10 hours, then manageable with oils, Quen and potions. The rest is about not missing the points of no return.
Do I need the DLC for the platinum?
No. Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine have their own trophies, but the platinum only needs the 53 base-game trophies. The expansions' XP can help you reach level 35, though.
Does the Remastered update change the trophies?
No. The Remastered update (Sep 29, 2026) is free and uses the same PS5 trophy list. Saves and earned trophies carry over.
What is the biggest point of no return?
The Isle of Mists in Act II. It fails Keira's quests, Triss's and Roche's chains, the masquerade, A Dangerous Game, the Passiflora tournament and all ally recruiting, which puts Friends With Benefits, Full Crew, Assassin of Kings and Card Collector at risk.
Can I keep playing after the ending?
Yes. The game returns you to free roam after the credits, so contracts, nests, counters and non-missable cards can be cleaned up afterwards.
