All 10 Bosses & How to Beat Them

Every major boss earns a trophy, and the final fight only opens after you've cleared five of the six mains. Here's where each one lives and how to put it down โ€” plus the fiddly Peter's Perfect Parry skill trophy. Tap any boss for the full breakdown.

Ultimate Karen

Glutted MireDetails
Defeat Magdalena, the Lady of the Woods
Magdalena, the Lady of the Woods is the first major boss and an ideal warm-up. She telegraphs her sweeping melee clearly โ€” Harden through the wind-up of her big overhead, then punish the recovery. Keep moving to avoid her area attacks and don't get greedy; two hits and reset.

Meat's Back on the Menu, Boys!

Sanguine CavernsDetails
Defeat The Lost Child
The Lost Child hits fast in tight quarters. Bait its lunges, roll through rather than back (its reach is deceptive), and Harden to tank the combo-enders. The Sanguine Caverns are also where you'll find Mether's Flesh for the Mango secret โ€” grab it while you're here.

Headcase

Prisoner's DomainDetails
Defeat The Nameless Captive
The Nameless Captive is the game's skill check. Its headspin combos are what you need for Peter's Perfect Parry โ€” learn the four variants, and equip the Untarnished Seal. Bring a Shell that doesn't stun it too early (Tiel or Genessa), or you'll cut the parry windows short.

Nightmare Fuel

Faded CitadelDetails
Defeat Sir Isaac, the Scholar-Prince
Sir Isaac, the Scholar-Prince mixes ranged pressure with sudden rushes. Close the gap during his cast animations and stay to his flank. Patience wins โ€” his openings are short but reliable.

Something in the deep...

Withered ShoalsDetails
Defeat Hexapod
The Hexapod is a grotesque arena fight. Watch for the slam-and-sweep pattern, stay under it rather than at range, and Harden the unblockable sweep. Its health is high, so pace your stamina.

Praise him!

The Unfound PathDetails
Defeat The Monolith
The Monolith is as much endurance as execution. Read its long-wind-up smashes, punish two hits at a time, and top up your Resolve between phases to keep your heavy attacks online.

It burnssssssssss

Conquered TempleDetails
Defeat Droeg, the Conquerer
Droeg, the Conqueror leans on fire. The Burnt Effigy (from the Tainted Vestige miniboss) cuts fire damage and makes this far more forgiving. Bait the flame combos, roll through the pillars of fire, punish after.

Giga Chad

The Unfound PathDetails
Defeat Malborn Offspring
Malborn Offspring is a big-damage bruiser. Respect the unblockables (Harden them), keep to its side, and don't panic-roll into its follow-ups.

Lost Your Head

The Unfound PathDetails
Defeat Orrem, the Reclaimed
Orrem, the Reclaimed is one of the last hurdles before the finale. Learn its mix-up between quick jabs and delayed heavies โ€” the delayed swings catch greedy rolls.

It's over now?

Final โ€” The Unbound PathDetails
Defeat Zmey, the Unbidden
Zmey, the Unbidden is the final boss and only opens once you've cleared five of the six main bosses. A multi-phase test of everything you've learned โ€” bring your most-bonded Shell and a fully upgraded weapon, and pace your healing across phases.

Peter's Perfect Parry

MissablePrisoner's DomainDetails
Perfect Guard each one of The Nameless Captive's headspins using the Untarnished Seal

This is the platinum's one true skill trophy. During The Nameless Captive fight in the Prisoner's Domain, you must Perfect Guard every variant of its headspin attack using the Untarnished Seal.

How to do it

The boss has four headspin variants. You need a clean perfect-guard on each variant at least once in the same encounter. The final two hits of the longer spins have deliberate timing gaps โ€” don't mash; wait out the pause and tap guard on the actual hit.

Setup

Equip the Untarnished Seal and use a Shell that won't stagger the boss out of its spin too early (Tiel or Sester Genessa are ideal; avoid heavy stun builds like Eredrim). It's much easier on your first playthrough while the boss is weaker โ€” do it then. You can requit to the main menu and retry the attempt if you miss one.

Tip: Every boss you kill (and every Beacon you cleanse) feeds Glimpses โ€” the currency you'll grind across NG+ and NG++ to bond all eight Shells. See the Progression guide.
