Endings Guide

The Blood of Dawnwalker — All 6 Endings

Every ending in Vale Sangora — the four you choose at the finale plus the two secret ones — with the exact requirements, dialogue choices and how to grab all six from a single save. Pairs with our full platinum walkthrough.

How endings work. The Blood of Dawnwalker has six endings — four you pick at the finale and two hidden ones you trigger by your actions. You can get every one in a single playthrough by making a manual save the moment the final quest “A Deal with the Devil” begins, then reloading it for each choice. There are 54 manual save slots, so use them freely. The two secret endings are triggered by locations rather than the final choice, so keep an earlier save that can still reach them.

Setup

Before the finale

Two of the four fight endings are gated behind ally questlines, so do this groundwork during your run.

Finish Lacra's chain (for Patricide) and Crake's chain (for Knyazmaker) before you reach the final quest — you can't add an ally to the fight retroactively.

Push your Infamy to maximum (wreck vrakhiri transports, tear down Brencis's flags, raid the courts) so the Turncoat deal becomes available.

When “A Deal with the Devil” starts, make a manual save. This is the save you'll reload for each ending.

Plan ahead
Do your Duelist ending first while you're still on that difficulty (see below), then drop to Story and reload the save for the rest — the fight endings are far quicker on Story.
Part 1

The four main endings

Chosen at the finale. Reload your pre-“Deal” save between each.

The Turncoat trophy

The Turncoat

Requires: maxed InfamySkips the final bossBest ending for Duelist
The betrayal path. Rather than fight Brencis, you cut a deal with him — hand over what he wants and he returns your family. Because it skips the final boss fight entirely, it's comfortably the easiest ending to clear, which makes it the one to do on Duelist for Uphill Battle. You need your Infamy maxed for Brencis to take the meeting, so wreck transports and tear down flags across your run. At the deal, choose “I just want my family back”, then “I'll do it.”

The Turncoat — Betray your allies and strike the deal with Brencis.
The Patricide trophy

The Patricide

Requires: Lacra's questline complete
Fight and kill Brencis with Lacra at your side. To make this option appear you must finish Lacra's full quest chain beforehand (it begins with “A Friend Like This” and ends with the mandrake — the same chain that earns Misery Loves Company). Reach the finale with Lacra's arc done and choose to face Brencis together.
The Patricide trophyTrophy · Silver
The Patricide — Defeat Brencis together with Lacra.
The Knyazmaker trophy

The Knyazmaker

Requires: Crake's questline complete
The mirror of Patricide — kill Brencis with Crake instead. This needs Crake's seven-quest chain finished (from “The Firebrand” onward — the chain behind The Manumit). With Crake's arc complete, pick him as your ally for the final confrontation.

The Folk Hero trophy

The Folk Hero

No ally requiredHardest of the fight endings
Face Brencis alone and take all the glory. You don't need either questline for this — just decline any ally and finish the fight solo. When prompted, choose “Enough. Time to end this.” Because there's no help, this is the toughest of the four to actually win, so save it for your Story-difficulty reloads.

The Folk Hero — Defeat Brencis on your own.
Part 2

The two secret endings

Triggered by where you go, not what you pick — plan saves that can still reach these spots.

Together Forever trophy

Together Forever

Secret endingTrigger before the finaleDo it on Story
A hidden ending where Coen simply stays with his family. It isn't a dialogue choice at the end — you trigger it earlier by taking the door inside the Silts Tower and clearing the combat loops behind it. Those fights are brutal, so attempt this on Story difficulty, not Duelist. Because it's location-triggered, you may need a save made before you reach that point rather than the final pre-“Deal” save.

A Hero They Deserve trophy

A Hero They Deserve

Secret endingLocation-triggered
The other hidden ending: rather than confront Brencis at all, Coen escapes Vale Sangora and walks away from the whole mess. Reach the broken bridge in West Briar Sloughs, near the Coward's Path Shrine, to leave the valley. Like Together Forever, it's triggered by getting to a specific spot, so plan a save that lets you reach it.

Part 3

The Duelist ending — Uphill Battle

The one trophy that forces a difficulty.

Uphill Battle wants you to complete a full ending — saving the people of Laslea — on Duelist. Since the Turncoat ending skips the final boss, it's by far the easiest way to satisfy this on the hardest difficulty. Do it on your Duelist run before lowering the difficulty for the other endings.

The fastest all-endings route

One save, six endings.

1. During the run, complete Lacra's and Crake's questlines and max your Infamy.

2. At “A Deal with the Devil”, save. On Duelist, take the Turncoat ending → pops Turncoat, Uphill Battle, The Blood of Dawnwalker (and In the Nick of Time if you're inside 30 days).

3. Reload, drop to Story, and take Patricide (with Lacra), then reload for Knyazmaker (with Crake), then reload for Folk Hero (alone).

4. Use your earlier saves to trigger the two secret endings — Together Forever (Silts Tower door) and A Hero They Deserve (West Briar Sloughs broken bridge).

That's all six endings and five trophies knocked out from essentially one finale save.
