The Review

The fastest Star Wars has ever felt

After the Empire falls, the Outer Rim finds a new obsession: speed. Star Wars: Galactic Racer drops you into the Galactic League, an unsanctioned underground circuit where crime syndicates bankroll the racers and champions are made in seconds. No Force, no prophecy. It's built by Fuse Games, a new studio of former Burnout and Need for Speed developers, and it shows: the sense of speed is outstanding, landspeeders, speeder bikes and skim speeders all handle differently, and every race is a slam-and-shunt fight for the racing line as much as a time test.

The twist is structure. The Campaign is a roguelite: you pick a route across a map of planets, choosing between Standard and Eliminator races, Field Tests, Mystery Encounters and shops, then build up your speeder with Parts, Abilities and Upgrades as the run goes. Wreck out of your tokens and you restart the Act, but Tuning Points, Racer Styles and Favors carry over, and new dialogue and story beats keep each run moving. Sidebets turn rivals into nemeses, and Backers grade every planet. Away from the Campaign, Arcade offers 50 hand-made time trials.

Critics agree: it sits at 88 on Metacritic (PS5) and 87 on OpenCritic, the highest-rated Star Wars game in more than twenty years, and for good reason: it's fast, deep and full of character. Revisiting the same planets across dozens of runs does start to show, and the platinum leans hard on that repetition. For trophy hunters it's a long, 8/10 list: fully offline with nothing missable, but it asks for roughly fourteen Gauntlet wins and a Gold time on every one of the 50 Arcade trials.

Platinum Roadmap

The road to Galactic Champion

A long 8/10: 70–100 hours, nothing missable, no online trophies. The grind is the Galactic Gauntlet; the skill wall is Arcade.

1Finish the Campaign once (~10h). Any difficulty. Pick Mystery Encounters whenever you can (three Favors hide behind them), and equip Clandestine Aid during your first Act 2: it only counts for the Gauntlet there. From Act 2, start betting on the same racers to create Rivals.
2Beat Act 3 on Champion (5–10h). Unlocked by your first clear; you only replay Act 3. You get just 3 crashes back per planet, so build for survival: Tenacious or Ramjet Rider, plus the Mad Genius and Gadgeteer Favors.
3The Gauntlet grind (40–60h). Win the Galactic Gauntlet with all 14 Racer Styles, all 20 Favors (three per run) and all 3 speeder types. The fastest loop is to restart the Campaign and repeat Act 2, losing the final race to Kestar on purpose. Along the way: all 12 Tales of Podracing, all 11 Rivals, an Excellent tour from each Backer, and the build feats.
4Arcade golds (15–30h). Gold times on all 50 time trials. Save them for last, when you know every track and speeder.

How a Campaign run works

The platinum is dozens of runs through the same three Acts, so it's worth knowing the rules before your first one.

Details
ActsAct 1: The Qualifier (13 events) ยท Act 2: The Galactic League (18 events, 4 planets before Derven Acos) ยท Act 3: Kestar's Galactic League (22 events, 5 planets plus story podracing). Lose your tokens and you restart the current Act.
Map nodesStandard races (finish anywhere but don't wreck out) ยท Eliminators (stay out of the drop zone) ยท Field Tests: Time Trial, Ramjet, Precision and Battling ยท Mystery Encounters (“?”) ยท Scrap Dealer (the credits icon, from Act 2) ยท Podracing events. Field Tests, Podracing Tests, Mystery Encounters and Scrap Dealers can never cost you crashes or tokens.
Crashes & tokensEach race allows a set number of crashes; use them all and you wreck out and lose a league token. On Champion, crashes only refill by 3 at the start of each planet.
Tuning PointsPermanent currency: 1 for finishing any race, 4 for a top-3 Eliminator. Spend them on speeder unlocks and permanent stats (up to level 15 across six stats).
Credits & Hibi's ShopRun currency. Hibi trades at the start of every planet: 4 Parts, stat packs and Ability Packs (2,500 credits; each one offers a choice of new abilities or upgrades). Restocks are random.
After the first clearChampion difficulty unlocks, and you can replay Act 3 directly or restart the Campaign with all your Logbook progress.

Settings worth changing

Three Accessibility options make the list noticeably smoother.

SettingWhy it helps
Simple Pre-Race ChecksCuts the button inputs needed to arm your abilities at the start of a race. Makes Start Your Engines! and the Hutt's Contract easier.
Auto-Deactivate RamjetShuts Ramjet off just before the redline runs out, so you never blow up by accident. Turn it off for Risk, No Reward.
Boost ModeAfterburner and Ramjet fire with a tap instead of a hold. Helpful for the long Afterburner trophy and long Arcade sessions.
Backing up your save (PS Plus). On PS5 go to Settings › Saved Data and Game/App Settings › Saved Data (PS5) › Sync Saved Data › Auto-Sync Saved Data and switch it off for Galactic Racer. From then on, press Options on the game tile and choose Upload/Download Saved Data: upload before a risky event or a Hibi's Shop visit, download to roll back. Every Hibi restock is fully random, so this also lets you reroll the shop for the Parts you want. No PS Plus? Close the game mid-race and you'll restart that race on reload; finishing a race saves instantly, so it only works before the line.

Details
Earn every other trophy. It's a fully offline list with nothing missable: finish the Campaign once, beat Act 3 on Champion, replay Acts 2 or 3 until every Favor, Racer Style and speeder has won the Galactic Gauntlet, then take Gold in all 50 Arcade time trials. No DLC is needed. Tip: Budget 70–100 hours. Most of it is the run grind; the Arcade golds are the real skill check, so save them for last when you know every track.
Campaign & Story 11 trophies

The roguelite Campaign: three Acts on the road to the Galactic League Championship, the Champion difficulty run, the podium-streak trophies and Sebulba's twelve Tales of Podracing.

Qualified! trophy

Qualified!

Details
Bronze โ€” Become a Qualified racer in the Galactic League. Story. Clear Act 1: The Qualifier. The Campaign is a roguelite: wreck out of your league tokens and you restart that Act from its first planet, but your Tuning Points and unlocks carry over, so every attempt makes the next one easier. Tip: Can't be missed. Spend your first Tuning Points on vehicle stats; they're permanent. Full guide →
Disqualified! trophy

Details
Bronze โ€” Defeat Kestar Bool in the Stadium Showdown. Story. Finish Act 2: The Galactic League by beating Kestar Bool in the Stadium Showdown, the Act's final event. Tip: Can't be missed. Before you finish Act 2, read the Clandestine Aid warning on the Favors page: that Favor can only win a Gauntlet in Act 2. Full guide →
Shade! Shade! Shade! trophy

Shade! Shade! Shade!

Details
Gold โ€” Defeat Kestar Bool in the Galactic League Championship. Story. Beat Kestar Bool in the Galactic League Championship, the last event of Act 3: Kestar's Galactic League, on any difficulty. Your first full clear of the Campaign takes roughly 10 hours and also unlocks Champion difficulty. Tip: Can't be missed. Any difficulty counts here, so play your first clear on whatever setting is comfortable. Full guide →
That's How You Win Championships trophy

That's How You Win Championships

Details
Bronze โ€” Place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in 6 Eliminator Races within a single Campaign tour. Finish on the podium (1st–3rd) in 6 Eliminator races in a single Campaign tour. You need a planet map whose route actually contains six Eliminators, so check the map before committing to a tour. Tip: Play it on Cadet, and restart a tour if the map is short on Eliminators. One of Kestar Bool's Mystery Encounters turns half of all Standard races into Eliminators, which makes this much easier if it shows up. Full guide →
Clean Sweep trophy

Clean Sweep

Details
Silver โ€” Place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in all events within a single Campaign tour. Finish 1st–3rd in every event of one Campaign tour: a podium in every Standard and Eliminator race, and a pass in every Field Test. Do it on Act 1, which is the shortest (13 events, against 18 in Act 2 and 22 in Act 3), on Cadet difficulty. Tip: Route through Mystery Encounters whenever the map lets you: they aren't events you can fail, so every one you pick shortens the streak you have to keep alive. (Scrap Dealer nodes work the same way, but they only appear from Act 2.) Full guide →
Risk, Reward trophy

Risk, Reward

Details
Bronze โ€” Place 1st in an event against other racers without crashing. Win any event against other racers without crashing once. Cadet difficulty and a defensive build (Autopilot or Shield) make it easy, and it often comes naturally in the early races. Tip: If you clip a wall, close the game before you cross the line: you'll restart that same race when you reload, with nothing lost. Full guide →
That's Got to Hurt! trophy

That's Got to Hurt!

Details
Bronze โ€” Wreck out of an event. Wreck out of an event: in a Standard or Eliminator race, use up every crash you're allowed. It costs you a league token, so do it early in a tour when you have tokens to spare. Tip: It will very likely happen to you naturally on the first run. Full guide →
Now This is Podracing! trophy

Now This is Podracing!

Details
Bronze โ€” Complete the first Tales of Podracing event. Complete the first Tales of Podracing event. From Act 2 you'll sometimes find Sebulba on a planet's hub when you're on foot; talk to him to race the first Tale. It also unlocks the Feet First Favor. Tip: Talk to Sebulba every time you see him; his Tales also unlock new Abilities. Full guide →
Hail to the Winner, Sebulba trophy

Hail to the Winner, Sebulba

Details
Silver โ€” Complete all Tales of Podracing events. Complete all 12 Tales of Podracing. Each Tale has to be won, and some add a side objective, such as wrecking three opponents. Fail one and you have to wait until you bump into Sebulba again for another try, so they spread across several runs. Finishing all twelve unlocks the Old Greats Favor. Tip: The 7th Tale unlocks the Ion Bolt ability, which you need for the Tech Expert trophy. Sebulba keeps appearing in the Act 2 and Act 3 hubs, so the Tales fall into place naturally during the Gauntlet grind; just talk to him every time you see him. Full guide →
Racer of Legend trophy

Racer of Legend

Details
Silver โ€” Defeat Kestar Bool in the Galactic League Championship on Champion difficulty. Beat Kestar Bool in the Championship with the run set to Champion difficulty. It unlocks after your first full Campaign clear, and you only need to replay Act 3 on it, not the whole Campaign. Champion makes rivals faster and more aggressive, and, crucially, your crash allowance no longer refills after every race: you only get 3 crashes back at the start of each planet. Tip: Build for survival, not speed: Tenacious (an extra crash) or Ramjet Rider as your Racer Style, and the Mad Genius Favor (two extra crashes) with Gadgeteer (extra part slots). Pick Field Tests, Podracing Tests, Mystery Encounters and Scrap Dealers on the map where you can, since they can't cost you crashes or tokens, and prefer Standard races over Eliminators: in a Standard race even 12th place still advances you as long as you don't wreck out. Plan for 5–10 hours: a run takes about five if your build comes together, and one early finisher needed around ten hours of attempts. Two safety nets: if a race goes wrong, close the game mid-race and you restart that race on reload (finishing a race saves instantly, so this only works before the line), and with PlayStation Plus you can turn off auto-sync and keep manual cloud backups. That same player rated the Overcharged Autopilot and Impact Surge upgrades together as close to unstoppable late in a run. Full guide →
Favors, Racer Styles & the Gauntlet 11 trophies

The long middle of the platinum: unlock all 20 Favors and 14 Racer Styles, then win the Galactic Gauntlet with every Style, every Favor and all three speeder types.

A Few Good Folks trophy

A Few Good Folks

Details
Bronze โ€” Equip 3 Favors simultaneously. Equip 3 Favors at once at the start of a tour. You can run up to three, so this pops as soon as you've unlocked a third. Tip: Comes naturally after a few runs. Full guide →
Inspired by Animals trophy

Inspired by Animals

Details
Bronze โ€” Gain Hibi's Favor. Unlock Hibi's Favor. It's usually your first: talk to Hibi on the third planet of Act 1: The Qualifier. Tip: Can't be missed. Full guide →
Maybe We Can All Be Friends Someday! trophy

Maybe We Can All Be Friends Someday!

Details
Silver โ€” Gain all Favors. Unlock all 20 Favors. Once you meet it, talk to that character at the start of a planet to receive it. Most come from progress, Field Tests, Backer ratings and beating specific Rivals; three come from chains of Mystery Encounters (the “?” nodes) with Biddy Blas, Malis Vazosk and Katja Mox, where you need the right dialogue answers and to meet a condition between meetings. Tip: Restart a tour until the map shows several Mystery Encounters, ideally one on the first planet. Malis's chain is the luck-heavy one: players have reported several meetings without the Favor progressing, so take every Malis encounter you see and keep the credits to pay him. Full guide →
Getting Started trophy

Getting Started

Details
Bronze โ€” Select a Racer Style. Pick a Racer Style at the start of your second tour. Your first run uses the default Style, so the option opens up once you start a new run. Tip: Can't be missed. Full guide →
Raging Rancor trophy

Raging Rancor

Details
Bronze โ€” With the Brawler Racer Style, take down 5 racers within a Standard or Eliminator race. With the Brawler Style equipped, get 5 takedowns in a single Standard or Eliminator race. Brawler starts with Ion Bolt; add Concussion Mine or Shockwave if you find them. Tip: Use a Standard race so the full field is around you, and deliberately hang back in the pack: ramming and abilities work best in traffic, not out in front. Full guide →
Speed and Violence trophy

Speed and Violence

Details
Bronze โ€” With the Tech Expert Racer Style, hit 5 racers with Ion Bolt within a Standard or Eliminator race. With the Tech Expert Style, hit 5 racers with Ion Bolt in one Standard or Eliminator race. Tech Expert doesn't start with Ion Bolt, so first unlock it from Sebulba's 7th Tale of Podracing, then add it with an Ability Pack. Tip: Make sure your Battery stat can fire Ion Bolt five-plus times in one race, and stay in the pack where the targets are. Full guide →
One Hell of a Thrill trophy

Bronze โ€” With the Redliner Racer Style, stay above 550 km/h for 5 s within a Standard or Eliminator race. With the Redliner Style, stay above 550 km/h for 5 seconds in one Standard or Eliminator race. Redliner powers up your Ramjet while it's in the red zone and makes that zone last longer. Tip: Max out the Ramjet upgrade stat, then fire it on a long straight where you won't need to brake or drift. Full guide →
Skill, Strategy, and the Will to Rise trophy

Skill, Strategy, and the Will to Rise

Details
Silver โ€” Unlock all Racer Styles. Unlock all 14 Racer Styles. They unlock from lifetime stats that build up across every run, so most come naturally during the Gauntlet grind. Tip: The two you'll chase longest are Clean Racer (60 tour-event wins) and Ice Cold (160 Abilities activated). Weaponised unlocks for becoming Galactic League champion, so it comes with your first full clear. Full guide →
I Can Fly Anything trophy

I Can Fly Anything

Details
Silver โ€” Win the Galactic Gauntlet with each speeder type. Win the Galactic Gauntlet with each of the 3 speeder types: the Landspeeder (owned from the start), the Speeder Bike (10 Tuning Points) and the Skim Speeder (20 Tuning Points). The Gauntlet is the three-part Eliminator on Derven Acos, the second-to-last event of Acts 2 and 3. Tuning Points come from every race you finish (1) and every top-3 Eliminator finish (4), so you'll have 30 long before you need them. The speeder comparison is on the Campaign & Story page. Tip: Check progress in the Logbook: a speeder that has won the Gauntlet is marked Mastered. Rotate speeder types across your Style and Favor runs so they finish together. Full guide →
Racing Master trophy

Racing Master

Details
Silver โ€” Win the Galactic Gauntlet with each Racer Style. Win the Galactic Gauntlet with all 14 Racer Styles. You can only run one Style per tour, so this is at least 14 Gauntlet wins, the backbone of the grind. Tip: The fastest loop: restart the Campaign, play Act 2, win its Gauntlet, then lose the final race to Kestar on purpose. You go back to the start of Act 2 instead of moving on to Act 3, which is longer (an extra planet plus story podracing events). Style progress is also tracked as Mastered in the Logbook. Full guide →
United by a Beautiful Dream trophy

United by a Beautiful Dream

Details
Silver โ€” Win the Galactic Gauntlet with each Favor. Win the Galactic Gauntlet with all 20 Favors. Three can be equipped per tour, so it's a minimum of 7 winning runs, which you'll naturally fold into your 14 Racer Style runs. Tip: โš ๏ธ Clandestine Aid can only be used for the Gauntlet in Act 2. Have it equipped when you first play through Act 2, or you'll need to restart the Campaign later and replay Acts 1 and 2 to credit it. Full guide →
Rivals, Backers & Sidebets 8 trophies

From Act 2 onward every race is a gamble: Sidebets create Rivals, Rivals lead to one-on-one Head-to-Heads, and each planet is graded by the Backer paying for your run.

I'll Take That Bet trophy

I'll Take That Bet

Details
Bronze โ€” Win 10 Sidebets. Win 10 Sidebets. From Act 2, before each Standard or Eliminator race you can bet on one of three competitors; finish ahead of them and you win credits. Tip: Comes naturally during the Gauntlet grind. Full guide →
First Time, Big Time trophy

First Time, Big Time

Details
Bronze โ€” Win your first Rivalry Head-to-Head. Win your first Rivalry Head-to-Head, a one-on-one race your Rival challenges you to one or two planets after the rivalry starts. Tip: See Best of the Best for how to set up rivalries on purpose. Full guide →
Best of the Best trophy

Best of the Best

Details
Silver โ€” Beat every Racer in a Rivalry Head-to-Head. Beat all 11 Rivals in a Head-to-Head (Kestar Bool can't become a Rival, so he isn't needed). To create a rivalry, bet on the same competitor several times on one planet; they confront you at the start of the next planet, and challenge you to a Head-to-Head a planet or two later. Five Rival wins also unlock Favors: Lyren Shok (Fan Club), Griff Halloran (Victorious Loser), Sen Fira (Silent Defiance), Ary Quill (Family Legacy) and Fola Kanjen (High Roller). Tip: There's some luck in who shows up as a Sidebet, so restart a tour until a Rival you still need is offered in the first race. If someone you're targeting is already standing in the hub waiting to talk (white diamond icon), they won't confront you; quit to the main menu and continue. Each Rival you beat unlocks a new colour for your speeders, so the colour list doubles as a tracker. Full guide →
Beginner's Luck trophy

Details
Bronze โ€” Win a Sidebet against your current Rival. Win a Sidebet against your current Rival. Bet on the same competitor a few times on one planet and, at the start of the next planet, they may stop you and declare you rivals. From then on they appear with a red cross in the Sidebet list; pick them and beat them once. Tip: Sidebets only start in Act 2, so this is the earliest it can happen. Bet on the same racer every race of a planet to make the rivalry likely. Full guide →
Gathii vs. Bool trophy

Gathii vs. Bool

Details
Bronze โ€” Win a Sidebet against Kestar Bool. Win a Sidebet against Kestar Bool. Every so often he's one of the three Sidebet options; bet on him and finish ahead. Tip: He's the toughest racer in the field, so take this one on Cadet. Full guide →
Star Racer trophy

Star Racer

Details
Bronze โ€” Have a Backer rate you as Excellent. Get an Excellent rating from a Backer. From Act 2 you pick a Backer (the Hutt, the Pirate or the Broker) before each planet, and they grade you on two things: your race placements and their Contract, a challenge you choose. A podium in most races plus a fully completed Contract earns Excellent. Tip: Comes naturally once you know to pick an easy Contract (see Pride of Gathleon). Full guide →
Poodoo Racer trophy

Poodoo Racer

Details
Bronze โ€” Have a Backer rate you as Poor. Get a Poor rating from a Backer: ignore the Contract and finish every event on a planet in last place. Tip: Do it on a Cadet run where you have tokens to spare. Full guide →
Pride of Gathleon trophy

Pride of Gathleon

Details
Bronze โ€” Achieve an Excellent Tour rating from each Backer. Earn an Excellent tour rating from each of the three Backers. That needs Excellent on most planets before Derven Acos (four planets in Act 2, five in Act 3); one Satisfactory is forgiven if the rest are Excellent. Any race where you finish too low, or a Contract you don't complete, drops that planet's grade. Tip: Always take the easiest Contract: for the Hutt, Pre-Race Checks or activating Abilities; for the Pirate, redlining or time spent in last place; for the Broker, time at very high speed or double overtakes. Skip Mystery Encounters, Scrap Dealers and Field Tests on these runs, since they don't advance the Contract. Satisfactory ratings with each Backer also unlock the Team Vranki, Bloody Bounty and Deeper Pockets Favors. Full guide →

Everything you bolt onto your speeder: the 60-second Surge, Afterburner and Ramjet feats, Legendary and Faulty Parts, the two shops, and the nine Abilities.

Speed is Dangerous, Embrace it Anyway trophy

Speed is Dangerous, Embrace it Anyway

Details
Bronze โ€” Gain Surge for 60 s continuously. Stay Surging for 60 seconds without a break. Surge is an ability that boosts your speed and is topped up by overtaking (the Impact upgrade also refills it on takedowns and collisions). Start with Slipstreamer or Clean Racer, which come with Surge, and add Parts that grant Surging. The Surging Autopilot upgrade also keeps you Surging for as long as Autopilot runs. Tip: The strongest Parts give permanent Surge while a condition holds: Critical Surging and Critical Hope (while on your last crash) and Surplus Surging (at 8+ Energy). This trophy and its Overcharged and Afterburner cousins sometimes pop late, at the start of the next event or at the end of the tour. Full guide →
The Most Dangerous Racing in the Galaxy trophy

The Most Dangerous Racing in the Galaxy

Details
Bronze โ€” Remain Overcharged for 40 s continuously. Stay Overcharged for 40 seconds without a break. The Overcharged Autopilot upgrade keeps you Overcharged while Autopilot runs, and activating abilities extends it; Tenacious starts with Autopilot. Stack Parts that grant Overcharged, such as Power Cascade, Charging Repulsors or Overcharging Propellant. Tip: Easy shortcut: the Thermal Inverter Part makes you Overcharged while you're burning, and burning doesn't wreck you. Find a lava section and sit in it for 40 seconds. The pop can be delayed until the next event. Full guide →
Very Fast, Very Dangerous trophy

Very Fast, Very Dangerous

Details
Bronze โ€” Use Afterburner for 60 s continuously. Keep the Afterburner (your basic boost) firing for 60 seconds straight. Use the Afterburner Racer Style, which makes it last longer, and add fuel Parts: Afterburner Efficiency, Reconstituted Fuel (refills on landing), Underbody Intakes (no fuel used while airborne), Surging Fuel, and the Fuel Coolant or Fuel Vortexer pair (much longer burns while Cooled or Surging). Tip: Being Cooled or Surging multiplies how long the Afterburner lasts, so stacking Cooled sources (Critical Hope, Surplus Cooling, Cooling Dampers on perfect landings) gets you there. The pop can be delayed. Full guide →
Hibi's Speedies trophy

Hibi's Speedies

Details
Bronze โ€” Exceed 650 km/h in any Speeder. Go faster than 650 km/h in any speeder. It usually happens on its own once you start chaining Ramjet with Surge on a long straight. Tip: If not, add Ramjet Power Parts and fire Ramjet while Surging. Full guide →
The Real Soul of Racing trophy

The Real Soul of Racing

Details
Bronze โ€” Increase 2 Upgrades to maximum level within a single tour. Raise 2 Upgrades (vehicle stats like Cornering, Afterburner or Resilience) to the maximum level of 10 within a single tour. Tip: Put all your starting stat points into the same two stats when the tour begins (that gets both to level 7), then buy or win only Upgrade Packs for those two. Full guide →
Punch it, Shade! trophy

Punch it, Shade!

Details
Bronze โ€” Use Ramjet for 60 s continuously. Keep Ramjet running for 60 seconds. No build is needed: play any Ramjet Field Test node, where you're scored on distance with Ramjet active and it lasts almost indefinitely. Tip: Comes naturally the first time you pick a Ramjet Field Test. Full guide →
The Fastest Ever Built trophy

The Fastest Ever Built

Details
Bronze โ€” Have 4 Legendary Parts installed simultaneously. Have 4 Legendary Parts (the gold, level-4 Parts) installed at once. They come from the Scrap Dealer node (it always stocks three), occasionally from Mystery Encounters, and from Hibi's Shop, where you can upgrade a level-3 Part you already have equipped to Legendary. Tip: The Scrap Dealer's three are Faulty Legendaries, so one visit plus one Hibi upgrade covers this, and also gives you three of the four Faulty Parts Hunk of Junk needs. Full guide →
Let's Build a Real Racer trophy

Let's Build a Real Racer

Details
Bronze โ€” Customize a vehicle. Customise a vehicle: change any skin or livery. You can do it when choosing a vehicle at the start of a tour, or by walking up to your speeder on a planet's hub. Tip: Can't be missed. Full guide →

Details
Bronze โ€” Blow up by overheating your Ramjet. Blow yourself up by overheating the Ramjet. Once it's active, a heat bar fills into the red redline zone; keep holding it past the end of the redline and your speeder explodes. Tip: Make sure Auto-Deactivate Ramjet is switched off in Accessibility first, or the game will save you from yourself. Full guide →
Hunk of Junk trophy

Details
Bronze โ€” Place 1st in an event with at least 4 Faulty Parts installed. Win an event with at least 4 Faulty Parts installed. Faulty Parts carry a downside; you get them from Critical Malfunctions during races, some Mystery Encounters, and most reliably the Scrap Dealer. Tip: Collect four, then win a Standard or Eliminator race on Cadet. Full guide →
Start Your Engines! trophy

Start Your Engines!

Details
Bronze โ€” Successfully complete 4 Pre-Race Checks. Complete 4 Pre-Race Checks: the timed button prompts at the start of a race that activate your loadout. They only appear once you have at least 3 Abilities (Crash Abilities don't count). Tip: Turn on Simple Pre-Race Checks in the Accessibility settings, which shortens the prompts. Lower-level abilities also mean fewer inputs. Full guide →
Treasures, Treasures! trophy

Treasures, Treasures!

Details
Bronze โ€” Buy every available Part at the Scrap Dealer within a single visit. Buy every Part on offer at a Scrap Dealer in a single visit. The Scrap Dealer (the credits icon on the map, from Act 2) sells three Faulty Legendary Parts at 1,000 credits each, so bring 3,000. Tip: If your slots are already taken by Faulty Parts you can't replace, the Scrap Dealer can also repair those for 2,000 credits each. Full guide →
Might as Well Buy a New Speeder trophy

Might as Well Buy a New Speeder

Details
Bronze โ€” Buy every available Part at Hibi's Shop within a single visit. Buy all 4 Parts in Hibi's Shop in one visit (she trades at the start of every planet). You need the credits, and you can't have Faulty Parts blocking slots, because Faulty Parts can't be overwritten. Tip: Clear any Faulty Parts at a Scrap Dealer first, and run the Smuggler's Hope Favor, which makes one of Hibi's Parts cheaper. Full guide →
Many Special Treasures trophy

Many Special Treasures

Details
Bronze โ€” Use every Ability. Use every Ability at least once, at any level. There are nine: Concussion Mine, Vent, Shockwave, Status Scrubber, Ion Bolt, Ion Blast, Shield, Autopilot and Surge. They come from Ability Packs once unlocked, from Racer Styles that start with them, and from Sebulba's Tales of Podracing. Ability Packs cost 2,500 credits at Hibi's Shop and sometimes drop as event rewards; every Ability can be upgraded to level 3. Tip: Each Ability Pack offers a choice, so always take an ability you haven't used yet over an upgrade until you've tried all nine. Ion Bolt only enters the pool after Sebulba's 7th Tale, so it's usually the last one. Full guide →

Silver โ€” Beat 50 Gold times in Arcade. Beat the Gold time on all 50 Arcade time trials, the hardest trophy in the game and the one most players leave for last (budget 15–30 hours). Arcade uses preset speeders and tracks, and each trial has a theme, such as podracers against other racers, staying Frozen or Cooled, Perfect Landings, or hitting checkpoints that cut your time. Tip: Many golds demand a near-perfect lap: learn the racing line first, then work the trial's theme (landings, cooling, checkpoints) into every lap. The Deluxe Edition adds 3 extra Arcade trials; it isn't yet confirmed whether they count, but the base 50 are definitely enough. Full guide →

FAQ

Star Wars: Galactic Racer platinum โ€” quick answers

How long does the Star Wars: Galactic Racer platinum take?
About 70–100 hours, and it depends heavily on skill. Roughly 10 hours for the first Campaign clear, 5–10 for the Champion run, 40–60 hours of repeat runs for the Galactic Gauntlet trophies, and 15–30 hours for the 50 Arcade gold times.
Is it hard to platinum?
Yes, about 8/10. Most of the list is a long but fair grind; the difficulty comes from Champion difficulty (only 3 crashes back per planet) and above all Big Mystery Racer: Gold times on all 50 Arcade time trials, many of which need a near-perfect lap.
Are there missable trophies?
No, nothing is missable. After your first clear you can replay Act 3 (or restart the Campaign) as often as you like. The only thing to plan for is the Clandestine Aid Favor, which only counts for the Gauntlet in Act 2, so equip it on your first Act 2 run.
Are there online trophies?
No. All 50 trophies are offline. Multiplayer isn't needed for anything.
Can I save before a race or retry it?
There are no manual saves, only autosaves. Two tricks help: if you close the game during a race, you restart that race when you reload (finishing the race saves straight away, so it only works mid-race). With PlayStation Plus, turn off auto-sync for the game and upload or download your cloud save manually to back up before risky events or to reroll Hibi's Shop.
What's the best build for Champion difficulty?
Build to survive, not to top the speed charts. A proven setup: the Speeder Bike, the Ramjet Rider Style (or Tenacious for an extra crash), and the Mad Genius (+2 crashes) and Gadgeteer (extra part slots) Favors. Then take every Part that keeps you Cooled and powers Ramjet, with Vent, Overcharged Autopilot, Overtaking Surge and a Concussion Mine or Ion Bolt as your Abilities. The full build is on our Campaign & Story page.
Where do I find Sebulba's Tales of Podracing?
From Act 2, Sebulba sometimes stands in a planet's hub between events. Talk to him to race the next of the 12 Tales, which come in order. You have to win each one, and later Tales add a second objective. Lose and you wait until you meet him again. The first Tale unlocks the Feet First Favor, the 7th unlocks Ion Bolt, and all 12 unlock Old Greats.
Does difficulty matter for trophies?
Once: Racer of Legend needs Act 3 beaten on Champion, which unlocks after your first clear. Everything else can be done on Cadet, the easiest setting, and several trophies (Clean Sweep, Hunk of Junk, the podium streaks) are much easier there.
