Difficulty & Challenge Runs

This is where Resident Evil Requiem's platinum is won or lost. Four trophies define the grind: an Insanity clear, a no-healing clear, a no-blood-collector clear, and a sub-4-hour speedrun. The smart play is two runs: one stacked easy run that combines Speed Demon + Never Touch the Stuff + Minimalist, and one careful Insanity run (which also sweeps every lower difficulty trophy). Get the stacking right and you save an entire playthrough.

Remarkable Agent

GoldFull guideCollapse

Beat the game on Insanity difficulty.

TypeGold
DifficultyInsanity
StacksNo (own run)

What it asks

Complete the entire main story on Insanity — the hardest difficulty, with tougher, more aggressive enemies, scarcer resources and limited saves.

How to earn it

  1. Insanity typically unlocks after your first completion — clear the game once, then start a fresh Insanity playthrough.
  2. Play slowly and deliberately: conserve ammo, use the blood collector aggressively to stay stocked, and avoid fights you can run past.
  3. Save often at typewriters and keep a healthy herb/injector reserve — on Insanity, one mistake can end a run.
This is the one challenge that cannot be stacked with the speed/restriction run — Insanity demands the opposite, careful playstyle. Treat it as its own dedicated playthrough.

Pro tips

  • Carry the strongest upgraded weapons from earlier runs if New Game carry-over is available.
  • Learn enemy placements from your earlier playthroughs so Insanity's ambushes don't catch you cold.

Never Touch the Stuff

GoldFull guideCollapse

Finish the story without using herbs or med injectors.

TypeGold
RestrictionNo healing
StacksYes

What it asks

Complete a full playthrough without ever using a herb or a med injector to heal. You can still take damage — you just can't heal with those items.

How to earn it

  1. Run this on the lowest difficulty available to minimise incoming damage.
  2. Play defensively: parry, dodge and avoid fights. Let the auto-regenerating portion of health (if any) and careful play carry you.
  3. It only tracks using healing items — picking them up is fine.
Stack this with Speed Demon and Minimalist in one optimised low-difficulty run — all three restrictions are compatible.

Minimalist

GoldFull guideCollapse

Finish the story without Grace using the blood collector.

TypeGold
RestrictionNo blood collector
StacksYes

What it asks

Complete the story without ever using Grace's blood collector. The collector is her core tool, so you'll rely on found ammo and items instead.

How to earn it

  1. Never deploy the blood collector while playing as Grace.
  2. Lean on conventional ammo, the supply box and found resources.
  3. The returning hero's chapters don't use the collector, so this restriction only really constrains Grace's sections.
Compatible with Never Touch the Stuff and Speed Demon — do all three together on an easy difficulty for a triple-gold/silver run.

Speed Demon

SilverFull guideCollapse

Release Elpis within four hours.

TypeSilver
Restriction< 4 hours
StacksYes

What it asks

Reach the Release Elpis ending with your in-game timer under four hours. The timer counts active play, not real time.

How to earn it

  1. Use a known route — ideally your second-or-later run when you know the map and puzzles.
  2. Skip optional fights and collectibles; run past enemies wherever safe.
  3. Pausing/menus don't add to the timer, so plan inventory and routes during pauses.
The anchor of the big stack: run Speed Demon + Never Touch the Stuff + Minimalist together on an easy difficulty to clear three trophies in one ~4-hour run.

Pro tips

  • Do this run after you've already beaten the game once, so the route and puzzle solutions are second nature.

Resolute Agent

SilverFull guideCollapse

Finish the story on Standard (Classic) or higher.

TypeSilver
DifficultyStandard (Classic)
StacksYes

What it asks

Complete the story on Standard (Classic) — the more authentic, less-forgiving tuning — or any higher difficulty.

How to earn it

  1. Any completion on Standard (Classic), Hard or Insanity counts.
  2. Your Insanity run satisfies this automatically.
  3. Difficulty trophies stack downward — clearing Insanity covers every lower tier too.
Your Insanity run (Remarkable Agent) unlocks this and both lower difficulty trophies in one go.

Rising Agent

TypeBronze
DifficultyStandard (Modern)
StacksYes

  2. Earned naturally on your first proper playthrough.

Finish the story on Casual or higher.

TypeBronze
DifficultyCasual+
StacksYes

What it asks

  2. Your stacked easy run (Speed Demon etc.) covers it.
