Core Exploration Tools

The Cradle is dense with hidden items. Two tools make the difference between a smooth collectible run and hours of wandering โ€” use both constantly.

๐Ÿ“ก Radar Ping System

Hold Down on D-pad to emit a radar ping. Nearby uncollected items glow briefly. Use this in every room before leaving โ€” it reveals items hidden behind objects, inside vents, and above/below the main floor level.

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Sector Completion %

Open the tram map from the Shelter terminal โ€” it shows each sector's completion percentage. Any sector below 100% has missed items. Cross-reference with the list below to identify what type of item you're still missing.

๐Ÿ’ก
Diana's hints: As you explore, Diana occasionally says things like "There's something over here, Hugh" or hums near items. These verbal cues are genuine gameplay guidance โ€” if she reacts, check the nearest wall, vent, or ceiling for a missed item. This works especially well for Holo-Walls.

Historian of the Moon

Gold

Find all 50 data logs scattered across the Cradle's 10 sectors. Data logs are the primary lore delivery system โ€” they include text research files, audio recordings, and video messages left by the station's missing staff. They appear as glowing blue terminals or orange tablets on desks, shelves, and floors.

๐Ÿ’ก
Scan every room: Hugh's suit has a visor scan mode (hold L2 / LT with no weapon aimed) that highlights interactable objects in the environment. Use this in every room โ€” data logs that aren't glowing normally will still appear highlighted through the visor.
S1
Entry Corridor
5 Logs3 Cabins1 Holo-Wall
Easiest sector โ€” all logs on main path. One log is inside the vent shaft above the first Red Zone. Use radar ping near the junction.
S2
Research Wing
6 Logs3 Cabins1 Holo-Wall
Two logs require Diana to hack open locked lab doors โ€” requires Ally Convert node. Backtrack after Ch. 4 if doors were sealed on first pass.
S3
Hydroponics Bay
4 Logs3 Cabins1 Holo-Wall
One log is on top of the large growing rack โ€” use the jetpack to reach the upper level. The Mini Cabins here are hidden in the plant root systems.
S4
IDUS Core Alpha
5 Logs3 Cabins1 Holo-Wall
Combat-heavy sector. Logs are scattered across the arena rooms โ€” clear enemies before searching. One log is inside the Shield Sentinel's patrol room.
S5
Terra Dome
5 Logs3 Cabins1 Holo-Wall
One log is inside the Holo-Wall room โ€” find the false wall first. Sweeper Bot patrols near two logs โ€” kill it before collecting to avoid combat interruptions.
S6
Simulation Atrium
4 Logs3 Cabins1 Holo-Wall
Two logs on upper catwalks โ€” only accessible via jetpack after unlocking Jetpack Boost upgrade. Return here after Ch. 6 if you couldn't reach them initially.
S7
Lunum Mines
6 Logs3 Cabins1 Holo-WallSecret Room
Contains the highest log density. The secret room (accessed post-story via Sector 7 Access Port) has 2 additional logs โ€” essential for 101%. The LunaDigger boss encounter is here.
S8
Fabrication Plant
5 Logs3 Cabins1 Holo-Wall
Logs inside the active printer rooms โ€” some require stopping the 3D printer process first via a control panel. Diana will indicate which panel to hack.
S9
IDUS Core Beta
5 Logs3 Cabins1 Holo-Wall
Endgame sector โ€” enemies are at maximum difficulty. Clear the Red Zone before searching โ€” enemies respawn aggressively here. One log behind a max-clearance door (post-story only).
S10
Final Approach
5 Logs3 Cabins1 Holo-Wall
Story-locked during the first playthrough โ€” fully opens in Unknown Signal Mode. Contains the final log confirming Diana's true backstory. Emotionally heavy if read before the secret ending.

Explorer Protocol โ€” Bronze & Hidden Rooms

Bronze

Holo-Walls are false walls โ€” sections of corridor or room that look solid but are actually holographic projections concealing a hidden room or passage. There is at least one per sector (10 total). The trophy Explorer Protocol pops on your very first discovery, but you'll want to find all of them for 100% sector completion.

  • Holo-Walls have a subtle shimmer or slight colour mismatch compared to real walls โ€” look for areas where the texture seems slightly out of place
  • Diana hums near Holo-Walls โ€” if she starts humming in a corridor without any obvious items nearby, check every wall surface
  • Use the radar ping โ€” items inside the hidden room will light up through the Holo-Wall, revealing its presence
  • Walk directly through the wall โ€” no interact prompt required, just walk into it
  • Hidden rooms contain logs, REMs, Earth memorabilia, and sometimes a Mini Cabin
  • The Sector 7 secret room is the largest hidden area โ€” it's sealed until Unknown Signal Mode and requires the Sector 7 Access Port interaction to open
๐Ÿ’พ

Dream Weaver โ€” Silver & REM Collectibles

Silver

REMs (Registered Engram Memories) are glowing memory-orb collectibles found throughout the Cradle. They come in 5 thematic series of 4 REMs each โ€” 20 total. Completing a full series unlocks a short memory playback scene. Completing all 5 series earns Dream Weaver.

#REM SeriesLocation of REMs
1๏ธโƒฃSeries: Earth Mornings
Hugh's memories of Earth life
Sectors 1, 2, 3, and 4 โ€” one REM per sector, all near windows or viewports. The S4 REM is inside the Holo-Wall room.
2๏ธโƒฃSeries: Delphi Files
Corporate history of the facility
Sectors 3, 5, 6, and 8 โ€” often near research terminals and data clusters. The S8 REM is inside an active printer room (stop the printer first).
3๏ธโƒฃSeries: Diana's Curiosities
Diana's observations about humanity
Sectors 2, 4, 6, and 7. The S7 REM is in the Lunum Mines' lower level โ€” requires the Mag-Reload ability to survive the drop safely.
4๏ธโƒฃSeries: Lost Crew
Fragments from Hugh's missing team
Sectors 5, 7, 9, and 10. The S9 and S10 REMs are in endgame-difficulty areas โ€” clear enemies before collecting.
5๏ธโƒฃSeries: Lunafilament
The discovery of Lunafilament's true nature
Sectors 1, 6, 8, and the Sector 7 Secret Room. The Secret Room REM is the final piece โ€” only accessible post-story at 101%.
๐Ÿ’ก
REMs glow with a warm amber light and emit a soft chime when you're nearby. They're always slightly elevated โ€” on shelves, above consoles, or tucked into ceiling alcoves. If the radar ping shows something above head height, look up.
๐Ÿ“ฎ

Philatelist โ€” Bronze & Mini Cabins

Bronze

Cabin Fever pops when you shoot your first Mini Cabin. Cabin Demolisher requires shooting every one across all sectors. Each Mini Cabin you destroy adds a stamp to one of 3 Cabin Stamp Boards. Completing a full board (10 stamps) earns Philatelist.

  • Mini Cabins are small wooden cabin models โ€” about the size of a mug โ€” placed on ledges, shelves, and windowsills
  • They are not always at eye level โ€” check high shelves, above doorframes, and on top of machinery
  • Shoot them with any weapon to destroy them โ€” they shatter and the stamp is added automatically
  • There are approximately 3 Mini Cabins per sector (30 total across 10 sectors) โ€” enough to fill all 3 boards and then some
  • Cabin Stamp Boards are accessed in the Shelter's Keepsake display area โ€” check after each sector run to see your progress
  • All three boards must be completed for the Philatelist trophy, not just one
๐ŸŒ

Memories of the Blue Planet โ€” Gold

Gold

Collect all Earth-related memorabilia โ€” objects that reference life on Earth left behind by the station's lost inhabitants. These include photographs, books, personal effects, and synthetic Earth objects crafted from Lunafilament. They appear in the "Houses with a View" โ€” small personal quarters built by staff to remind them of home.

  • Each sector contains at least one "House with a View" โ€” a small personal quarters room decorated with Earth objects
  • Some Houses are behind Holo-Walls or locked doors that open later in the story
  • The Sector 7 secret room contains the most emotionally significant memorabilia โ€” and the one tied to the secret ending
  • Interact with every object in every House โ€” some require a second interact to fully examine
  • The trophy tracks unique interactions โ€” you cannot re-examine the same item to make progress
  • Scan with the visor (hold L2/LT unarmed) to highlight interactable objects you haven't examined yet
๐Ÿ’ก
After collecting every Earth memorabilia item, return to the Shelter. A new keepsake display case near Diana's area will be fully lit โ€” interacting with it triggers a short scene and confirms the Gold trophy is within reach once the Sector 7 secret is also found.
๐Ÿšช

Emergency Protocol โ€” Bronze

Bronze

Unlock every Escape Hatch across all sectors of the Cradle. Escape Hatches are the game's fast travel points and respawn locations โ€” they appear as glowing green emergency doors. You must physically reach and interact with each one to register it. There are 4โ€“5 per sector.

  • Some Escape Hatches are locked until you clear the Red Zone in that area โ€” secure the zone first
  • Others are locked behind story-gated security clearances โ€” revisit in Unknown Signal Mode for any you couldn't reach during the campaign
  • The tram map shows a small percentage indicator โ€” if it's below 100%, you've missed at least one hatch in that sector
  • Escape Hatches also immediately refill your heal charges and ammo โ€” use them strategically during combat-heavy sectors
