Artifact Location

Found in the Hernand region. Look for it along the main road network in the central area — use Blinding Flash with your lantern to reveal the glow.

Challenge

• Get 30 kills total using the Gale Shield
• This is cumulative — count builds over time
• The Gale Shield creates wind bursts that push and damage enemies
• Use it liberally on weak enemy groups — fields near Kuku Birds in Rocca's Hill are ideal farming spots

Artifact Location

Hernand region roads. The Shotgun Shield fires a spread of pellets when you block enemy attacks, dealing close-range area damage. Find its artifact along the southeastern road network.

Challenge

• Get 30 kills using the Shotgun Shield — cumulative
• Best used at close range — let enemies cluster and block into groups
• The pellet spread hits multiple enemies — use it in tight corridors or doorways
• Kuku Birds in Hernand work here too

How to Obtain

The Knuckledrill is a story- and faction-related weapon obtained via quest progression in the Delysia region. It is not found as a road artifact — you receive it through the quest chain. Progress the Delysia faction questline until Kliff gains access to this mechanical gauntlet.

Challenge

• The Knuckledrill overheats after sustained use and creates an explosion
• Challenge involves using the overheat explosion to damage multiple enemies
• Let it heat up on weaker foes, then position near a group for the explosion
• Do not transform into Kuku version — base only counts

Artifact Location

Take the northwest route from Oasis Hearth in the Crimson Desert region. The artifact sits on a small altar by the roadside. This is an endgame area — come prepared with upgraded gear and plenty of potions.

Challenge

• Uses a spinning propeller mechanic to generate lift and deal damage in a wide arc
• Challenge requires using its unique spinning attack to hit multiple enemies
• Best used against tightly packed enemy groups — draw them together first
• The propeller arc is generous — positioning matters more than timing here

How to Obtain

The artifact is west of Svinholt Ranch in Pailune at a small wooden shrine. The Bismuth Spear itself is obtained from the Well of Enlightenment location in the Crimson Desert region — defeat the Bismuth Oreback Crab boss to receive one. If you need more, dispatch a Greymane Expedition to the location to obtain one per run.

Challenge

• Defeat 30 enemies with the Bismuth Spear — cumulative
• Functions like a normal spear but deals Bismuth elemental damage
• Bismuth damage is especially effective against armored and crab-type enemies
• Use it during the endgame enemy grind in Crimson Desert or Delysia regions

How to Obtain

The Grappling Hook is received through story and faction quest progression in the Delysia region. It doubles as a traversal tool and a combat weapon — you can yank enemies toward you or pull yourself to them. Received naturally as you advance through the Delysia questline.

Challenge

• Challenge involves pulling a set number of enemies with the hook
• Use it in large groups — pull enemies from range into melee to combo them
• The hook can also grab and throw objects — some challenges require environmental use
• Also serves as the fastest way to reach artifacts on elevated surfaces

Artifact Location

Found in Demeniss on a road artifact shrine. The Marni Laser Helm fires a continuous laser beam from the helmet's visor when activated. Critical warning: Do not transform this into the Kuku Marni Helm variant — the Kuku version does not count toward challenge progress. Keep the base version.

Challenge

• Hit 5 enemies simultaneously with a single laser beam
• Lure enemies into a narrow corridor or doorway and align them in a straight line
• Alternatively use it from above — enemies in a valley/trench line up naturally
• Camp entrances with a chokepoint doorway work best

How to Obtain

The artifact is on the side of the road south of Marni's Laboratorium Gate in Delysia. The Lightning Bolt Plate Armor itself is obtained from a Faction Quest in Pailune — complete the Pailune faction quest chain until the armor reward appears. It is a chest armor piece, not a weapon, but counts as a Special Equipment challenge.

Challenge

• Challenge: Obtain Titan's Armor (the Lightning Bolt Plate Armor)
• Complete the required Pailune Faction Quest chain to receive the armor
• The quest is part of the Pailune Commissions sequence — check your Faction Quest tab
• Once the armor is in your inventory, the challenge completes automatically

How to Obtain

The artifact is at the intersection south of Varnia Saltroad Camp in the Crimson Desert region. To obtain the Flamespitter itself, you must reach Chapter 11 to access the Zargan Tankworks research facility in Gorthak, northwestern Delysia. Complete the second-level research (Weapon Heat-Treatment Research), then dispatch a Greymane expedition to Gorthak Ironworks to craft it.

Challenge

• Burn 10 enemies within 15 seconds using the Flamespitter
• This is a timed challenge — you need enemies close together
• Find a large enemy camp and let groups cluster before igniting
• The flame cone is wide — position at the edge of a group, not in the center
• Hay bales and wooden structures near enemies can chain the fire spread

How to Obtain

Artifact is on a wooden altar north of Arcosa, by the Crimson Desert roadside. To obtain the Lightning Spear, reach Chapter 12 and access the Dewhaven Keep research facility in Delysia. The first research level (Dewhaven Keep Facility Research) gives you the blueprint so you can craft as many as needed. Alternatively, complete the second research tier (Electric Tool Design Research) to send expeditions to Steelspike Armory for one spear per dispatch.

Challenge

• Defeat 30 enemies with the Lightning Spear — fully cumulative
• Functions like a normal spear but deals electric damage
• Lightning damage chains to wet or water-standing enemies — use near rivers/rain
• One of the strongest weapons in the game — rivals the best options once completed
• Farm in Delysia or Crimson Desert endgame areas for speed
