Story & Factions

Screamer's single-player spine is five team storylines wrapped around four main chapters. None of it is missable and all of it is replayable, so this page is the gentlest part of the platinum — the only smart move is to drive each faction's arc as that team's signature character so you bank mastery progress for free. Clear all five arcs for the Lore Master gold.

Engine Start

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Complete the opening chapter, Engine Start.

TypeBronze
Difficulty1/10
WhereStory

What it asks

Finish the game's introductory chapter, which doubles as the extended tutorial — it walks you through accelerating, boosting, the Strike attack, the Shield parry and your first taste of Overdrive.

How to earn it

  1. Play through Engine Start to its end.
  2. Don't skip the prompts — this is the only place the game properly teaches Strike and Shield timing, which every combat trophy later depends on.
  3. The chapter unlocks automatically as you start a new save.

Pro tips

  • Treat the intro as a practice lab. Deliberately whiff Strikes and Shields here to learn the windows while there's no pressure.

Burning Ambitions

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Complete the chapter Burning Ambitions.

TypeBronze
Difficulty2/10
WhereStory

What it asks

Clear the second story chapter, where the televised tournament's stakes — and the rivalries between the five teams — start to take shape.

How to earn it

  1. Progress the campaign from Engine Start into Burning Ambitions.
  2. Win the chapter's scripted races to advance.
  3. By now you should be charging Overdrive every race — it makes the AI fields trivial.

Sync Rising

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Complete the chapter Sync Rising.

TypeBronze
Difficulty2/10
WhereStory

What it asks

Clear the third chapter, which introduces the Sync meter and the deeper Overdrive interplay that the late game and several character masteries lean on.

How to earn it

  1. Continue the campaign into Sync Rising.
  2. Complete its races and story beats.
  3. Pay attention to how Sync builds — Keiji and Hope's masteries both revolve around it.

On a Starlit Stage

GoldSecretFull guideCollapse

Complete the final chapter and watch the credits.

TypeGold
Difficulty3/10
WhereStory

What it asks

Reach and clear the campaign's finale chapter, then sit through the credits. This is the main-story completion gold.

How to earn it

  1. Clear every preceding chapter, then play through On a Starlit Stage.
  2. Win the climactic final event under the stadium lights.
  3. Let the credits roll fully — the trophy pops on the post-credits screen.

Pro tips

  • This unlocks while you're chasing the five faction storylines, so you'll likely have it before the combat grind even begins.

The emptiness of revenge

SilverFull guideCollapse

Finish Hiroshi's Green Reapers storyline.

TypeSilver
Difficulty2/10
TeamGreen Reapers

  2. Each team storyline is a short series of races with cutscenes — no missables, fully replayable.
  3. Counts toward Lore Master.
Run the Green Reapers events as Hiroshi and you can chip away at his mastery (100 Unstable Boost boosts) at the same time — see the Mastery I guide.
