Arcade & Challenges

Outside the campaign, Screamer's value lives in its arcade modes — Score Challenge, Checkpoints, Overdrive Challenge and custom races. Most of these trophies are quick completions (finish a Score Challenge with a driver from each team), but two stand out: the hidden One more race as a host character, and Hollowed — defeating the secret Hollowed Apollo opponent, one of the platinum's real skill checks. Nothing is missable.

Pure racing

Complete Score Challenge as a Green Reapers character.

ModeScore Challenge

What it asks

Finish a full Score Challenge run using any driver from the Green Reapers (e.g. Hiroshi or Frederic).

How to earn it

  1. Open Score Challenge from the arcade menu.
  2. Select a Green Reapers driver.
  3. Complete the run to the results screen — you don't need a high score, just completion.
Score Challenge is also the cleanest place to grind character masteries, so pick the Green Reapers driver whose mastery you still need.

  3. Complete the run.

Pro tips

  • Both hosts also have masteries on the Mastery pages, so do those grinds in this same run.

Hollowed

What it asks

Trigger and beat the game's secret boss-style opponent, Hollowed Apollo — a hidden rival that only appears in Score Challenge once specific conditions are met.

How to earn it

  1. Push your Score Challenge run to a high enough score / chain to trigger Hollowed Apollo's appearance.
  2. When the Hollowed Apollo rival spawns, out-race or KO it as the encounter demands.
  3. Defeating it pops the trophy — this is one of the tougher single trophies in the game.
Hollowed Apollo only spawns under specific high-performance conditions, so come into this run already comfortable with a strong driver and a maxed Overdrive loop.

In Checkpoints mode — where you must keep hitting gates to extend a countdown — survive for a continuous two minutes without letting the timer run out.

  1. Start a Checkpoints run.
  2. Hit every checkpoint cleanly to keep topping up the timer.
  3. Stay alive for two minutes of elapsed time.

Pro tips

  • Don't chase risky lines — consistent checkpoint hits matter more than raw speed here.

Ultimate driving

What it asks

In Overdrive Challenge — where staying in the Overdrive state extends your run — travel a cumulative 4.7 miles in one attempt.

How to earn it

  1. Start Overdrive Challenge.
  2. Keep your Overdrive meter topped by driving aggressively and cleanly so the run doesn't end.
  3. Maintain it long enough to clock 4.7 miles of distance.

Pro tips

  • A driver who builds and holds Overdrive easily (Keiji, Akemi) makes the distance target far more comfortable.

Smooth race

Finish first without exploding while in Overdrive.

What it asks

Win a race in which you used Overdrive at least once but were never KO'd/exploded during it — a clean, dominant run.

How to earn it

  1. Enter a standard race against AI you can comfortably beat.
  2. Use Overdrive to pull ahead, but play defensively while glowing so you're never destroyed.
  3. Cross the line in first.

Pro tips

  • Run it on an easy difficulty / weak AI lobby so finishing first and staying intact is trivial.

What it asks

Apply a complete customization set to a driver/vehicle (all the cosmetic slots filled from one set), then play any match with it equipped.

How to earn it

  1. Open the customization / garage menu.
  2. Equip a full matching set across the cosmetic slots.
  3. Start any race or mode with that loadout to pop the trophy.

Pro tips

  • Unlock cosmetics naturally through play; once you have one full set, this is a 30-second trophy.
