Dying Light 2 · Trophy Guide

Story & Endings

Every main-story trophy in Dying Light 2 — Aiden's journey from the prologue to whichever ending you choose. These pop automatically as you play; none can be permanently missed, but the game's one gold lives here.

🧟 The whole story is unmissable — but before you leave the Prologue, grab its collectibles (see the Collectibles guide). That intro area can't be revisited in solo play.

Into the Unknown

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Reach Villedor.

TypeBronze
LocationPrologue
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

Pops during the prologue as Aiden finally reaches the quarantined city of Villedor. It's completely unmissable — just follow the opening.

Tip

Before the city opens up, sweep the prologue area for its Collectible Notes (see Archivist). You cannot return to the intro once the story moves on, and that missed note is the #1 platinum-blocker in this game.

First Shot

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Use an Inhibitor for the first time.

TypeBronze
LocationEarly
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

Early on the game forces you to spend an Inhibitor to upgrade your Health or Stamina. Unmissable tutorial step.

Tip

After this forced spend (and the two other story-forced ones), stop banking Inhibitors elsewhere if you want the single-playthrough plan — you'll need 81 saved up for the Fit as a Fiddle / Ironheart save-backup trick.

Herzlich Wilkommen!

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Enter the Bazaar.

TypeBronze
LocationOld Villedor
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

Story-forced — you're sent to the Bazaar, the Survivor hub of Old Villedor, within the first couple of hours.

Tip

The Bazaar is your first proper safe hub: stock up, meet the merchants and pick up early side quests here — several feed other trophies like Man On a Mission.

Under Pressure

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Activate your first Water Tower.

TypeBronze
LocationOld Villedor
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

A story mission has you climb and restore a Water Tower — one of the two Facility types. It pops the moment you turn it on.

Tip

Once it's active you choose which faction to hand it to. Whatever you pick starts building that faction's City Alignment — decide early if you're going all-in on one side for Boot Licker.

On the Trail of the Enemy

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Learn Waltz's location.

TypeBronze
LocationStory
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

An unmissable main-quest beat — Aiden gets his first solid lead on Waltz, the man tied to his past.

Tip

This kicks off the mid-game. Keep clearing side quests as they appear; a few of the romance quests for Man On a Mission only open during this stretch.

Light in the Darkness

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Activate your first Electrical Substation.

TypeBronze
LocationStory
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

The Electrical Substation is the second Facility type; restoring your first is part of the story and pops on activation.

Tip

Like the Water Towers, each Substation is assigned to a faction. Handing every Facility to the same faction is how you'll clear both Municipal Services and Boot Licker.

Get Outta My House!

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Defeat the Renegades attacking the Fish Eye.

TypeBronze
LocationCentral Loop
MissableNo
DifficultyMedium

How to earn it

A story set-piece in the Central Loop (the second, larger region): the Renegades assault the Fish Eye canteen and you fight them off.

Tip

This is your introduction to Central Loop's Survivor hub. It signals the back half of the game — a good point to check your Inhibitor bank and collectible progress.

Debris and Ashes

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Reach the Observatory.

TypeBronze
LocationStory
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

Unmissable story progression — Aiden makes his way to the Observatory during the Central Loop arc.

Tip

Story momentum picks up sharply from here toward the finale; wrap up any region-locked side content beforehand.

We Will Be Heard!

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Restore the radio broadcast tower.

TypeBronze
LocationStory
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

You climb and restore the VNC radio tower during the main story. Pops on completion.

Tip

This mission has a big faction choice (give the tower to the Peacekeepers or the Survivors) that changes the map — it doesn't affect any trophy, so pick whichever you prefer.

Known Associate

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Learn the whereabouts of Veronika Ryan.

TypeBronze
LocationStory
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

A late main-quest beat as the conspiracy unravels. Unmissable.

Tip

You're near the endgame now. If you're chasing the one-playthrough plan, make sure your 81 Inhibitors are still banked before the finale locks you in.

Brush with Death

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Wake up after the missile strike.

TypeBronze
LocationEndgame
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

A dramatic scripted moment near the climax — Aiden survives a missile strike and comes to. Story-forced.

Tip

You're in the point-of-no-return stretch. Everything open-world is best mopped up before this, since the finale runs several missions back-to-back.

Going Down

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Enter the X-13 elevator.

TypeBronze
LocationEndgame
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

Entering the X-13 facility's elevator during the finale triggers this. Unmissable.

Tip

X-13 is essentially the final dungeon. Bring your best gear, healing and immunity boosters — the endgame throws heavy infected and a boss at you.

Family First

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Find your sister.

TypeBronze
LocationEndgame
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

Aiden's whole journey is about finding his sister Mia — this pops in the finale when you do. Unmissable.

Tip

The ending branches based on your choices, but every path awards this. Don't stress the 'right' choice — any ending completes the game.

Your World, Your Rules

GoldFull guideCollapse

Complete the game with any ending.

TypeGold
LocationEndgame
MissableNo
DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

The game's only Gold trophy. Finish the main story and reach the credits on any of the endings — none is 'better' for trophies.

Tip

There are multiple endings shaped by your earlier decisions, but they all award this Gold. Just play to the end; there's no need to replay for a different one.

Good Night & Good Luck

BronzeFull guideCollapse

Survive your first night.

TypeBronze
LocationEarly
MissableNo
DifficultyMedium

How to earn it

Head out of a safe zone after dark and survive a full night. Once you make it through (or back to safety), it pops.

Tip

Nights are dangerous but hugely rewarding: parkour and combat XP are boosted after dark. Deliberate night runs are the fastest way to grind Parkour Master and Combat Master.
