Hunting & Exploration
The platinum's grab-bag — six Bronze trophies for hunting wildlife, diving deep and poking at the world's quirks. Every one is a quick, one-off action you can do the moment you know it exists, and none are missable. Two of them (the harpoon shark and the dives) also hand you crafting materials and pair perfectly with the underwater collectibles.
Perfect Predator
BronzeFull guideCollapseGet a perfect harpoon shot on a Great White Shark.
Perfect Predator
BronzeFull guideCollapseWhat it asks
Harpooning is a mini-game you launch from a rowboat at marked naval hunting spots. You need a perfect throw — releasing the harpoon exactly in the highlighted timing zone — on a Great White Shark specifically, not one of the smaller sharks or fish.
How to earn it
- Sail to a harpooning hunt marker (they sit over deeper water) and start the activity.
- Wait for a Great White to surface — it's noticeably larger than the reef sharks.
- Aim, and release the throw when the meter hits the green "perfect" band. A perfect hit on the great white pops the Bronze and yields shark leather for crafting.
Matador
BronzeFull guideCollapseDodge three charge attacks by a Wild Pig.
Matador
BronzeFull guideCollapseWhat it asks
Wild pigs / boars in the jungle charge when provoked. Dodge three of their charges (without being hit) in a single encounter.
How to earn it
- Find a boar on any forested island (they're one of the common huntable animals) and get its attention so it charges.
- Roll / dodge sideways as it rushes past — sidestep, don't back-pedal. Do this three times in the same fight.
- Kill and skin it afterwards for the crafting material if you like.
Davy Jones' Locker
BronzeFull guideCollapseSwim to the lowest point on the map.
Davy Jones' Locker
BronzeFull guideCollapseWhat it asks
Reach the deepest point in the game — the very bottom of a diving-bell shipwreck site.
How to earn it
- With the diving bell unlocked (a Jackdaw upgrade available after Great Inagua), descend at a deep underwater shipwreck.
- Swim all the way down to the seabed, managing your air at pockets along the way. Touching the lowest reachable point pops the Bronze.
Ed the Diver
BronzeFull guideCollapseSwim 1000m underwater total (excluding shipwrecks).
Ed the Diver
BronzeFull guideCollapseWhat it asks
Swim a cumulative 1,000 metres underwater in the open sea — crucially, the metres you rack up inside diving-bell shipwrecks don't count, so this is ordinary free-swimming distance.
How to earn it
- Dive off the Jackdaw in shallow water and swim beneath the surface along reefs and coastlines (stay under, not on top).
- It tracks across the whole save, so it often completes on its own; if you're short at the end, do a few laps around a calm bay to top up to 1,000m.
Edward Catway
BronzeFull guideCollapseBreak 50 potted plants.
Edward Catway
BronzeFull guideCollapseWhat it asks
A joke trophy (the pun gives it away) — smash 50 potted plants, the decorative pots dotted along balconies, market stalls and courtyards in the cities.
How to earn it
- In any city — Havana, Kingston or Nassau — run through streets and rooftops attacking or barging pots as you pass.
- They add up fast; 50 is roughly one thorough rooftop run through a market district. Cumulative across the save, so you'll likely be well on the way just from playing.
Hungover
BronzeFull guideCollapseWake up in a haystack.
Hungover
BronzeFull guideCollapseWhat it asks
Another cheeky one — Leap of Faith into a haystack from a great height so Edward surfaces from it as if "waking up" there.
How to earn it
- Climb a viewpoint or tall structure that has a haystack or leaf pile at its base (cities and forts have plenty).
- Perform a Leap of Faith straight into the haystack. The Bronze pops when Edward pops back up out of the hay.
