Complete a full playthrough on Normal. Note that the difficulty trophies do not stack — Normal is also what unlocks Heroic, so this is your first of three required runs.
Tip
Because nothing stacks, plan for three full playthroughs. Use this first Normal run to relax, learn the maps, and hoover up the single-playthrough counters and secrets.

Complete a full playthrough on Heroic. It only becomes available after you finish Normal, and beating it is what unlocks Legendary.
Tip
Heroic is very manageable in co-op. Many guides recommend Farin (the Dwarf Champion) as the strongest character for the harder runs; others favour Andriel for her utility — either way, stick with one hero per run.

Complete a full playthrough on Legendary, the hardest difficulty — and it only unlocks after you've finished Heroic. This is your third full run and the platinum's biggest hurdle.
Tip
Play co-op if at all possible — being revived makes Legendary far less punishing. Solo, keep your healer alive, use Sanctuary/Evasion, and kite with ranged attacks. Come in with your best gear and grab Like a Thunderbolt and Fell-handed here too.

Defeat the final boss Agandaûr without ever summoning Beleram during that fight. Simply never press the eagle summon in the finale.
Tip
Get your Swift-winged Warrior summons (10 of them) done in earlier chapters, then go into the Agandaûr fight summon-free. It stacks with Hero of the North on the same kill.

Tip
Officially a 3-player online co-op kill. Note that some players report getting it with AI companions in the party — but a real 3-player session is the reliable route, so set one up if you can.

Revive a downed ally. In co-op, pick a teammate up when they go down; it happens constantly on higher difficulties.
Tip
Even in single-player your AI companions go down and can be revived — just walk to a fallen ally and hold the revive prompt.
