Platinum GuideThe impossible platinum, finally fixed
Black Ops II was ahead of its time — a branching near-future thriller with multiple endings, RTS-flavoured Strike Force missions and the sprawling TranZit Zombies mode. For years, though, its platinum was flat-out unobtainable: the "Big Leagues" trophy required League Play, which Activision shut down. This PS5 re-release quietly performs surgery — "Big Leagues" now just asks you to start the campaign — so the platinum is back on the table.
What's left is a proper completionist run: finish the campaign on Veteran, clear every challenge in the game for the gold Giant Accomplishment, chase the story's branching outcomes, Prestige once in multiplayer for the other gold, and tackle the TranZit Zombies trophies — including the co-op Tower of Babble easter egg.
The catches
It's meatier than Black Ops 1. The one real online grind is Welcome to the Penthouse (Prestige once — reach level 55, then prestige), and Giant Accomplishment asks for literally every challenge. Tower of Babble wants co-op coordination. None of it is server-locked anymore, though — which is the whole point.

Play the campaign on Veteran (Black Ops II Master) and work every level's challenges as you go toward the gold Giant Accomplishment. Use Strike Force and your choices to steer the story.
Endings & branching outcomes
Replay missions and Strike Force segments to grab the outcome-based trophies (Family Reunion, Showdown, Dead or Alive, Ultimate Sacrifice and the rest) — the game has multiple endings.
Multiplayer — Level 10 & one Prestige
Reach Level 10, Prestige once for the gold Welcome to the Penthouse, and win a few Combat Training & Party Games matches (private matches vs bots work).
TranZit Zombies → platinum
Clear the Green Run / TranZit trophies on the bus route, then finish the co-op Tower of Babble easter egg. The last trophy flips the Platinum.
