The Review

Two Point's best game yet โ€” and a stress-free platinum

Two Point Museum is the third entry in the Two Point management series (after Hospital and Campus) and comfortably the studio's best. You build and run museums across five themed maps โ€” dinosaurs and prehistory, the deep sea, the supernatural, outer space and wild science โ€” sending expedition teams into the world to dig up exhibits, then arranging them to delight and educate your guests.

What lifts it above the usual tycoon fare is the expedition loop: exhibits aren't bought from a menu, they're discovered, each with its own condition, backstory and display quirks. Decorating around a T-rex to boost 'Buzz', luring guests past the gift shop, curing the odd frostbitten cave-person โ€” it's warm, funny, and quietly deep. It's exactly the kind of comfort game that shines on PS Plus Extra.

As a platinum it's a very easy 2/10 with zero missable trophies and nothing online โ€” genuinely one of the more relaxing platinums on the service. The only cost is time: expect 75โ€“100 hours, most of it the natural grind of growing museums to level 50, reaching Curator Class 7 and earning 100 Sticker Book stickers. Nothing here is hard; you just play the game well and the trophies come.

What we loved

  • The best Two Point game โ€” deep and charming
  • Truly relaxing 2/10 platinum
  • Zero missable trophies โ€” nothing to fail
  • Expedition/discovery loop keeps it fresh

What frustrated us

  • Long โ€” 75โ€“100h of comfortable grind
  • A few trophies (Buzz 2000, Enlightenment 30) need specific setups
  • Late-game growth can get repetitive
  • No online, but no co-op either
Platinum Roadmap

The road to Collectionist, Completionist

There are no missables and nothing is difficult, so play naturally and let the big cumulative trophies build up. The platinum only needs the base game โ€” the DLC exhibits aren't required. Just play through all five museums to chapter 5, then grind out the growth milestones on whichever save you enjoy most.

1Play the campaign. Work through all five museums to chapter 5 โ€” Memento Mile (prehistory), Passwater Cove (marine), Wailon Lodge (supernatural), Pebberley Heights (space) and Bungle Wasteland (science). This unlocks every exhibit type and teaches the systems.
2Pick a 'main' museum to grow. Choose one map you enjoy and push it toward level 50 (Mega Museum), displaying exhibits from 6 different themes (Everything for Everyone) and reaching 30 Enlightenment in one theme (Uncommon Knowledge).
3Chase the cumulative milestones. Reach Curator Class 7 (High-Class Curator), earn 100 Sticker Book stickers (Comprehensive Curator), complete 20 Workshop projects (Made Them Yourself) and unlock 25 expedition POIs (Map Reader). These tick up as you play.
4Mop up the specific setups โ†’ Platinum. Knock out the one-off trophies โ€” a 5-star tour, a 2000-Buzz guest, a Sandbox level-10 museum, an Exhibition Mode gold, plus the quirky exhibit trophies (Chomper Pit, Dinosaur Bones, Astral Anomaly). Tidy the last few and the platinum pops.
No missable trophies โ€” relax. Nothing here can be permanently failed, and nothing needs the paid DLC. A handful of trophies just need a specific setup rather than luck: Uncommon Knowledge (30 Enlightenment) wants a theme stacked with knowledge-boosting decor; Absolutely Buzzing (2000 Buzz) wants your best exhibit ringed with buzz-boosting decor and a guest left near it; and Thaw & Order needs a Frozen exhibit left to defrost so a Cave-Person spawns and vandalises a donation stand. All are easy once you know the trick โ€” see the notes below.
Every Trophy

All 36 trophies โ€” explained

Grouped by type, each with how to unlock it. Grouped by system. Nothing is missable, so this is really a checklist you clear over 75โ€“100 relaxed hours. The notes call out the exact setup for the few trophies that need one.

Campaign โ€” the five museums 6 trophies

Progress each of the five campaign museums. Reaching chapter 5 completes that museum's map.

Rising Star

Details
Complete chapter 1 of Memento Mile โ€” the tutorial museum. Your first milestone.

Two Point Museum

Details
Complete chapter 5 of Memento Mile (prehistory).

Marine Life Museum

Details
Complete chapter 5 of Passwater Cove (marine).

Supernatural Museum

Details
Complete chapter 5 of Wailon Lodge (supernatural).

Space Museum

Details
Complete chapter 5 of Pebberley Heights (space).

Science Museum

Details
Complete chapter 5 of Bungle Wasteland (science).
Expeditions 5 trophies

The heart of the game โ€” sending teams out to discover exhibits. These come naturally as you explore.

Map Reader

Details
Unlock 25 expedition points of interest (POIs). Keep sending expeditions and revealing new spots on the world map โ€” cumulative across all saves.

Mint Condition

Details
Discover a Pristine-quality exhibit. Exhibits come in quality tiers; send well-equipped teams and you'll eventually pull a Pristine one. Better expedition gear/staff raises the odds.

Healing Holiday

Details
Cure an Illness or Injury by sending staff to Remedial Springs. When an expedition returns a staff member hurt or ill, send them on the Remedial Springs expedition to heal.

Ex-plorer

Details
Lose a staff member on an expedition. Send an under-prepared team on a dangerous expedition and they may not come back โ€” you can do this deliberately with a low-level staffer.

Silverbottom Reunion

Details
Reunite Twiggy Silverbottom's expedition team in a single Polterguest Room. A supernatural-museum objective: capture all the members of that ghost expedition and house them together.
Exhibits & Themes 9 trophies

Building and completing specific exhibit types. A couple (Thaw & Order especially) need a deliberate setup.

Everything for Everyone

Details
Display an exhibit from 6 different themes in one museum. Easiest in a large late-game or Sandbox museum where you have access to all theme types.

Uncommon Knowledge

Details
Reach 30 Enlightenment for any one theme. Stack that theme's exhibits with knowledge-boosting decor and info tools (buzzers, screens, plaques) in one room to push its Enlightenment rating to 30.

Perked Up

Details
Install 3 perks on a single exhibit. Level an exhibit up via analysis to unlock perk slots, then fit three perks.

Skill & Bones

Details
Complete a Dinosaur Bones exhibit. Excavate and assemble all the bones of a full dino skeleton in the prehistory museum.

Prehistory Mystery

Details
Activate a Prehistory Mystery exhibit. One of the special interactive prehistory displays โ€” build and power it on.

The Anomalonians

Details
Activate the final Astral Anomaly exhibit. A late space-museum exhibit chain; complete the set to activate the final one.

Fully Customised Contraption

Details
Have a level 3 (III) Custom Contraption science exhibit. Build a Custom Contraption in the science museum and upgrade it to tier III.

Plant Food

Details
Have a guest eaten by a Chomper Pit exhibit. Build a Chomper Pit (a science exhibit) and keep guests wandering past it โ€” eventually one gets too close and becomes lunch, unlocking this automatically the first time.

Thaw & Order

Details
Have a donation stand vandalised by a Defrosted Cave-Person. Place a Frozen prehistory exhibit and let it thaw (don't refrigerate it) โ€” a Cave-Person breaks free and, if a donation stand is nearby, wrecks it.
Museum Growth & Curation 6 trophies

The big cumulative time-sinks. These are the trophies that set the 75โ€“100h pace โ€” pick one museum and grow it.

Mega Museum

Details
Reach a level-50 museum. Grow one museum's overall level to 50 โ€” the longest single grind. Buzz, exhibits, staff and guest happiness all feed museum level.

High-Class Curator

Details
Reach Curator Class level 7. Your account-wide progression rank; earned by completing objectives and milestones across all museums.

Built on Sand(box)

Details
Build a level-10 museum in Sandbox Mode. Sandbox gives unlimited money โ€” a fast, stress-free way to hit level 10.

Exhibition Expert

Details
Earn a gold trophy in an Exhibition Mode pop-up museum. Complete an Exhibition Mode challenge to the gold standard.

Comprehensive Curator

Details
Earn 100 shiny stickers in the Sticker Book. The Sticker Book rewards little goals across everything you do โ€” 100 comes naturally on the way to the platinum.

Made Them Yourself

Details
Complete 20 Workshop projects. Keep your Workshop staff busy building and restoring items; cumulative.
Guests, Staff & Economy 9 trophies

Running a happy, profitable museum. Absolutely Buzzing is the one that needs a purpose-built exhibit corner.

Absolutely Buzzing

Details
Have a guest reach 2000 Buzz. Ring your best, highest-rated exhibit with buzz-boosting decor and let a guest linger by it; their Buzz climbs to 2000. Analysing exhibits to raise their level helps a lot.

Tour de Force

Details
Create a 5-star tour. Set up a guided tour route past your best exhibits with a well-trained tour guide until it rates 5 stars.

Product Placement

Details
Earn $10,000 from Sponsored exhibits. Accept exhibit sponsorship deals and keep those exhibits on display; the sponsorship income adds up to $10,000.

Directly to Jail

Details
Catch a thief who has stolen an exhibit. Hire Security Guards (and CCTV); when a thief grabs an exhibit, a guard nabs them.

Fancily Dressed Five

Details
Have 5 visiting children wear onesies of 5 different themes at once. Stock the gift shop with all five onesie themes and wait for five kids to each buy a different one.

Fishes (Plural)

Details
Have 10 fish born at the museum. Keep aquarium exhibits with breeding fish in the marine museum; babies accumulate to 10.

Byte at the Museum

Details
Employ 10 Robo staff (Janitors or Security Guards) in one museum. Robo staff are built in the Workshop (unlocked later on), not hired from applicants โ€” craft 10 and keep them all working in the same museum at once.

Nomenclature

Details
Give a fish exhibit a custom name. Select any fish/aquarium exhibit and rename it โ€” a 30-second trophy.

Qualified Opinion

Details
Train a staff member as much as possible. Send one staffer through the Training Room until every applicable skill is maxed.
FAQ

Two Point Museum platinum โ€” quick answers

Is Two Point Museum easy to platinum?
Yes โ€” it's an easy 2/10 with zero missable trophies and nothing online. Nothing is hard; the platinum is really just a long, relaxing checklist. A few trophies need a specific setup (like ringing an exhibit with buzz decor for 2000 Buzz), but none are difficult.
How long does the platinum take?
Roughly 75โ€“100 hours. Almost all of it is the natural grind of growing a museum to level 50, reaching Curator Class 7 and earning 100 Sticker Book stickers. If you use Sandbox Mode for a few trophies you can trim the time a little.
Are there any missable trophies?
None. Nothing in Two Point Museum can be permanently failed โ€” you can always go back and set up whatever a trophy needs. That's a big part of why it's such a low-stress platinum.
Do I need the DLC?
No. The platinum only requires the base game's 36 trophies. The extra DLC exhibit packs add trophies beyond the platinum but aren't needed for it.
What's the trickiest trophy?
Nothing is truly hard, but Thaw & Order (let a Frozen exhibit defrost so a Cave-Person vandalises a donation stand), Uncommon Knowledge (30 Enlightenment) and Absolutely Buzzing (a 2000-Buzz guest) trip people up simply because they need a deliberate setup rather than normal play.
