What's New in Chapter 5

Chapter 5 opens in Hometown on the day of the Hometown Festival before pulling the party into the Flower Kingdom, a brand-new Dark World ruled by the Flower King. Two things define the chapter: the introduction of the Orange SOUL — a new combat mechanic that changes how you attack and defend — and the reunion of the full party after Ralsei is found and freed. It's the longest chapter yet, with the most optional content to sweep for 100%.

The 4 Achievements You Can Actually Miss

3

Ready for Today

Before the festival · Optional
Optional
How to get it

Before leaving for the Hometown Festival, help Susie get ready for her date. Talk to her and complete the short prep sequence — it's easy to walk straight past this if you rush to the festival.

11

Petal by Petal

Flower Kingdom · Optional combat
Optional
How to get it

Defeat every member of Flowery's flower entourage — the mini-bosses / enemies that accompany Flowery across the Flower Kingdom. Choosing to FIGHT rather than SPARE-and-flee is what counts here, so keep an eye out and take each one down.

15

Behind the Petals

Flower Kingdom · Secret
Secret
How to get it

Discover a hidden area tucked away in the Flower Kingdom. Explore thoroughly and check dead-ends and suspicious walls/gaps as you move through the world — it's off the main path.

16

Every Flower Has a Story

Flower Kingdom · Completionist
Missable
How to get it

Read every optional piece of flavor text in the Flower Kingdom — signs, NPCs, and interactable objects. Interact with everything as you explore each room; the most reliable way is a slow, methodical sweep before moving to the next area.

🌻
100% tip: do a slow, complete-everything run of the Flower Kingdom. Fighting the entourage, reading all flavor text and finding the hidden area are all easiest on a single careful playthrough rather than trying to clean them up afterward.

  5. Reach the lakeside picnic with Susie and Noelle — Picnic by the Lake.

Not at launch. Deltarune adds its PS4/PS5 trophies in later updates, so for now the confirmed list is the Steam achievement set — but the requirements carry over, and we'll update this page the moment the trophies go live.

Which achievements can I miss?

Four: Ready for Today (help Susie before the festival), Petal by Petal (beat Flowery's whole entourage), Behind the Petals (find the hidden area) and Every Flower Has a Story (read all optional flavor text). Everything else comes naturally.

What is the Orange SOUL?

Do I have to fight the whole entourage in one run?

For Petal by Petal you must defeat every member of Flowery's flower entourage — choose to FIGHT each one as you meet them across the Flower Kingdom rather than sparing and moving on.
