Skills, Crafting & Wildlife

Skill-tree milestones, cooking and crafting, and filling the Hunter's Guide by harvesting plants and animals the right way.

🧪 Hunter's Guide entries only unlock on a top-quality harvest — check the required method, time of day and weather for each.

Talk to the Ancestors

Unlock three Ancestor Skills.

How to earn it

Unlock three Ancestor Skills. These are granted by completing Sarentu Totem memory sequences, which you'll do as part of the main story — you'll have three well before the campaign ends.

Tip

Every totem you touch also counts toward Vision of the Ancestors, so interact with each one you pass. Doing them as you explore knocks out two trophies from the same activity.

Wildlife Expert

How to earn it

Unlock 20 Hunter's Guide entries for gatherable wildlife. An entry only fills when you take an animal down with the correct method for a top-quality kill — a clean, high-grade harvest, not just any death.

Tip

Open the Hunter's Guide and read each animal's required weapon and approach before you hunt it. A sloppy kill still gives meat but won't register the entry, which is the number-one reason this trophy stalls.

Great Gatherer

Unlock 30 Hunter's Guide entries for gatherable plants.

How to earn it

Unlock 30 Hunter's Guide entries for gatherable plants. Each entry needs a top-quality harvest, which depends on gathering the plant in the right conditions — usually a specific time of day and/or weather.

Tip

The guide lists the ideal time and weather for every plant. Rest at a base or wait to shift the time of day to match, then harvest — picking at the wrong moment collects the plant but won't unlock its entry.

Peak Performance

Unlock an Apex Skill.

How to earn it

Unlock an Apex Skill — a top-tier ability gated behind unlocking Ancestor Skills and reaching a high enough character level. Progress the story and level up, then spend the points on any Apex node.

Tip

Because Apex skills need Ancestor Skills first, keep grabbing totems and levelling throughout the campaign. If it's locked, you're usually just short on level or a prerequisite node — not missing anything hidden.

Cooking Pot Pro

How to earn it

Unlock three recipes for specialty dishes, then cook them at a base cooking pot using ingredients you've gathered. Recipes come from quests, vendors and exploration.

Tip

Specialty dishes give strong temporary buffs, so this is worth doing for its own sake before a tough fight like the thanator. Gather a stock of quality ingredients and cook three different recipes in one sitting.

Apprentice Crafter

How to earn it

Craft a weapon or gear piece of 'superior' rarity or higher at a workbench. Superior gear needs superior-grade resources, which come from top-quality harvests and higher-tier animals.

Tip

This ties straight into the Hunter's Guide trophies — the same high-quality harvests that fill those entries also give you the superior resources this needs, so pursue them together.

Becoming Na'vi

Unlock 3 skills in each skill tree.

DifficultyEasy

How to earn it

Unlock three skills in each of your skill trees. Spread your skill points so every tree has at least three unlocks, rather than dumping them all into one.

Tip

You earn plenty of skill points through the campaign, so this is easy — just remember to buy across the board. If you're min-maxing one tree for combat, deliberately grab three cheap nodes in each other tree to satisfy it.
