PIXELFORGE is an independent gaming site built by trophy hunters, for trophy hunters. We write honest game reviews and detailed platinum trophy guides — the kind we wish existed when we were staring at a cryptic trophy description at 2am wondering what it actually wanted from us.

What We Do

Every game we cover gets two things: a review with a clear score and an honest verdict, and a platinum trophy guide that walks you through the whole road to 100% — the difficulty, a step-by-step roadmap, every missable trophy flagged up front, and precise, real-world collectible locations written in plain language. We also run a co-op partner finder so you can team up for the online and two-player trophies that would otherwise block a platinum.

We're a small, independent desk — not a content farm. We'd rather publish a few guides we've genuinely checked than a hundred we haven't.

How We Research Our Guides

This is the part we care about most. Trophy guides live or die on whether the details are right, so accuracy isn't an afterthought for us — it's the whole job. Here's exactly how a PIXELFORGE guide is made:

• Trophy lists are verified against the source, not eyeballed. Every trophy's name, grade (bronze/silver/gold/platinum) and the total point value are cross-checked against the game's official trophy data before a guide goes live. If our count doesn't reconcile to the real total, we don't publish it until it does.
• Collectible locations are written in our own words, one item at a time. We don't simply restate a vague trophy description and call it a guide. Where a trophy needs you to find things, we give real, specific, per-item locations you can actually follow.
• Missables are identified and flagged before you can fail them. We map out which trophies can be permanently missed, why, and where in the game they lock — so you plan around them instead of restarting a 40-hour run.
• Roadmaps reflect how the game is actually played. Difficulty ratings, time estimates and the recommended order come from playing and researching the game against primary sources, not from guesswork.
• We cross-reference before we publish. Specific claims — counts, currencies, unlock conditions, character lists — are checked against reliable references and the game itself. If something can't be confirmed, we say it's unconfirmed rather than inventing a confident answer.

Reviews & Scores

Our scores are our own opinion, formed from hands-on time with each game. We're independent: no publisher pays for coverage or a score, and we call out the frustrating parts as plainly as the great ones. A high score means we think a game is worth your time and money — nothing more, nothing less.

Corrections

We're human, and games get patched. If you spot something wrong, outdated, or missable that we didn't flag, please tell us — we fix confirmed errors quickly and credit the catch. Accuracy is a moving target in this hobby, and readers keep us honest.
