PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers get three new games to add to their library from July 7, free to keep for as long as your membership stays active. Here is the lineup — and, because that is what we do, roughly how long each one takes to platinum.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The 2023 blockbuster sends Task Force 141 after Makarov and bundles the campaign, full multiplayer and co-op Zombies. It is one of the more approachable Call of Duty platinums — most of the work sits in the campaign and the open combat missions. Time to platinum: around 20 hours. Difficulty: 4 out of 10.
For the King II. A roguelike tabletop-tactics adventure across the cursed land of Fahrul, built for solo or co-op play. The platinum is a real grind — RNG-heavy runs and several late-game challenge trophies push the time up considerably. Time to platinum: around 60 hours. Difficulty: 7 out of 10.
CrossCode. A cult-favourite 16-bit action-RPG with fast, precise combat and puzzle dungeons that genuinely test you. It is a long RPG platinum, but a fair one for anyone who enjoys the ride. Time to platinum: around 50 hours. Difficulty: 5 out of 10.
All three leave PS Plus on August 3, 2026 — add them before then and they are yours to keep.
